The IFS MoW is a harmless vessel engaged in reconaissance. It will remain in the area, to recover our Phalanx on it's exploration mission, but will avoid any intrusion into Mayan waters. The last thing that I wish is conflict and please do accept that I had no way of knowing that you had a City there as I was charting the coastline!

As elections draw near it is unclear if the comunist party can maintain thier majority in the house. They currently hold thier majority thru a coalition with the nationalist glory party.
The current composition of the house
National Peoples Coalition: 323 seats
Communist Party: 210 seats
National Glory Party: 113 seats
Capitalist Minority Coalition: 261 seats
Federal Party: 188 seats
Liberty Party: 73 seats
Independent Parties: 6 seats
Nobility Party: 6 seats
The communist party is expected to gain a few seats, due to thier strong grip on the central industrial towns. But the National Glory party is expected to lose almost all thier current seats, and it is feared that the party itself may disperse.

Taosoich's Personal Appeal
Noble Slamp, Trusted friend and neighbour.
My Citizens become fretful at the sight of Mayan Troop Ships heading toward our coast. If this Vessels carries harmless Settlers seeking new homes upon the Island to the South then they can now disembark and walk.
The Irish Navy has been given orders that this ship shall not be allowed to move one more square closer. A SotL has been positioned so that it cannot escape out of range and another ship has been moved to a defensive position.
Your intentions may be peaceful, I trust that they are, but my Defence Minister has advised me that Troop Ships can carry five Marines and that it is extremely likely that you would be possessed of such troops. I cannot allow my people to face such peril.
I trust that we can avoid bloodshed.

Irish Foreign Office Statement
The Mayans protest against a wrong that has not been done to them. We had no Battleships in Mayan waters and no photographs will prove otherwise.
The only vessel in Mayan waters was an innocent SotL guarding an important Sea Channel. We did have another in, as yet, uncharted regions to pick up an exploration team. That mission has sadly had to be cancelled as Ireland must look to cover all possible avenues of Mayan aggression. We do now have a Battleship in Mayan waters and while Mayan Troop ships hover within reach of our soil there she will remain.

The Statement of SC
Slav Confederate is very concerned that Irish Republic and Mayan Republic are in the conflict. We think that both sides should negotiate and not fight. This case should be the matter of INC Session and should be resolved by diplomatic way like it was in Norwich Conflict. So we one more time say - rethink all your positions and start to talking. There is no need to use Military Forces, it could be resolved in peaceful way.
But we strongly protest to any military actions from Irish Republic. If battleships attack Mayan Forces we will strongly react in the way which we decided on the meeting of representatives of Mighty SFU

Turn 60 to Frazer.
Irish Foreign Ministry Report.
It would appear that sanity has prevailed in Chechen Itza. A copy of an Irish Map taken at the end of Turn 59 has been sent to Ed. This shows the current deployment of the Irish Western Fleet. At no point do any of our vessels intrude into the productive radius of any Mayan City but do protect our Cities against any attempted maritime assault. It should be emphasised that the lone Phalanx is a harmless exploration unit and had been due to be removed last turn and will be next.
The Mayans should be aware that if any Troop Ship enters the Channel it will be taken as being a precurssor to an attempted Mayan invasion and will be dealt with accordingly.
If the Slavs and English, both nations we trust, are prepared to send a destroyer to act as neutral observers in the area of dispute Ireland will withdraw her Fleet. Unless we can guarenttee our security we are unable to continue on our preferred course of peaceful development.
It gives Ireland no joy to devote all her energies to the manufacture of Ships of War when our Cities lack Banks and Theatres but in these dangerous times we feel ourselves to have no choice.
Irish Free State.

Irish News Agency Update.
Ireland is delighted to announce that Slavia has agreed to send a Destroyer to act as a neutral Peace Monitor.
This vessel will be allowed into Irish waters and we hope that the Mayans will also grant their permission. Ireland awaits a reply from England as to whether they also will despatch a Destroyer to patrol the area. We are hopeful that their responce will be positive.
Immediately the Slavic vessel arrives the Irish Western Battle Fleet will be withdrawn back into a holding station inside Irish territorial waters.
Ireland desperatly wishes to avoid conflict with any power. She has a very long seaboard and cannot hope to defend all her coastal Cites with conventional land forces. Ireland is small, weak and sparcely populated and has no alternative but to rely on her Sea Power.

Turn 60 ==> Klair
England will also send a destroyer to act as an observer. England is unclear to exact location where the destroyer is desired. At present she is being sent to the shores of Ireland, away from any city distance as not displace any Irish fisherman.
England still hasn't recieved the safety deposit of Gold from Slavia. The house assumes that this is because of the recent changes of government which have occured in Slavia. The have sent a request for the Gold to Slavia. If gold is not recieved by the begining of next year this will seriously call into question Slavia's intentions. An envoy (email) is being dispatched to Luk Castle.

The Statement of SC
The Slav Confederate didnt give the amount of money in deposit to English because we feel that English did not do what we wanted. We thought that English will withdraw their forces from Norwich and our army will enter to this city, and it was the important point of our agreement. So we are now protesting and the only one way to resolve this situation - build Norwich by English and rebild granary in this city or pay us the amount of Gold to buy it. Then we can do all other points of agreement - pay 300G deposit and give Advance. If not we will not do it and we will not allow English to come back on this territory
We will send our destroyer to peacekeeping action because peace is the most important thing to us

Everybody knows that powergraph is lying in few things. So I think that we should do other rankings based on the real strenght of our civs.
There would be 4 categories
production:
Gold:
Rations:
People:
Every country would posting it every 12 turns and then we will be doing rankings which country is the best in which category.
What do you think?

Hmm upon reading the letters it appears the England and the SFU signed slightly different version of Accord England's talked of disbanded while, Slavia's talked of unit Evacuation
The fact is that Norwich was only size one so Luk, would have gained nothing by taking Norwich she also had no improvements as they had been sold of long before, talks started.
So England agrees to refound Norwich, but not to build a granary, as there wasn't one in Norwich.
