I'll be in as well. I don't really care about the settings, as long as we get quite a few settlers, and wet (ie rivers). Are you putting it together billhq? It looks like you've got between 5 and 7 takers already. It might be time to get the show on the road...

One turn each in 24 hours? I just can't believe, that this will work, if we are about 7 peoples. Keep in mind, that we are spread all around the world ...

The 24 hour rule says that every Player should play his turn in less than 24 hours. It should, of course go a lot quicker than this but 24 hours is long enough to figure out if a mail has gone astray, or something like that. After this 24 hour period, the last person to have their turn, opens the next players turn (without looking at the map and stuff) and presses the Next Turn button.
Bear in mind that we have 7 players. If everyone takes 24 hours this will be a VERY slow game. It is best if people can check for their turns every 8 hours or so (like before work, and after work or something like that). Then we can expect a turn every 1.5 - 2 days (which is still slow, but acceptable )
