you people piss me off sometimes. There I had to say it. You don't seem to understand empathy. And putting yourself in the characters shoes. Just because you are athiest and have no faith in anything doesn't mean other people do.

And no for the most important part.

It's just a movie!!!!!

Many of you guys watch star trek which has the most preposterous phsyics and aliens in sci-fi yet you like that but don't like this. It makes no sense. M. Night is not a sci-fi director. That much is obvious.

But first show me the Sci-fi film that has no plot holes whatsoever. I haven't found it. Most people cannot write plots that well. I'd like to see you guys do better.

Yes this post is late, I just got around to watching it. Damn good film. Not as good as 6th sense and Unbreakable, but still damn good.


And you guys are sadistic!! The little buy rocked!. Don't you wish you were that fearless at his age. How can you not like him!! M. Night really knows how direct child actors. I had most child actors, but this guy knows a secret. Shame on you!! Child actors are horrible in every single film but his, and you want to kill them off! The little girl was also great. This guy should just direct children from now on. I'm so tired of seeing other movies with children in them. They can't compare.

And Joaquin Phoenix was great. Much better than in Gladiator.

And you guys don't like Mel Gibson? WTF? What's wrong with you people. You don't like Mel, but you probably like Tom Cruise who can't act his way out of a paper bag.

although M Night as a veternarians was interesting. An Indian vet? I imagine it would work if they were only saving lives. But what if he had to put a dog down? How would he do that? .

The water thing was kind of cheesy I admit. But no worse than I see in other films.

You guys are missing the point. All films. I repeat all films use silly plot devices. And that is what this was.

remember. according to the film the middle east drove them off. We should all thank middle easterners.

I will keep bumping this thread, because I insist the movie is good. Sure it can't compare to the classics. but it is one of the better movies of the last 5 years without a doubt. I bet you guys liked XXX. That is the stupidest movie I have every seen. Action movies have gone downhill.

But what you guys don't realize everything in hollywood is just rehashing the same plot devices and plots of the last 2000 years. Of course this film can't compare to classic Hitchcock. But this guy knows how to create amazing levels of suspense out of old plots.

And the size of MegaMaid is, when using the Winnebago as a comparison, substantially smaller than the original Spaceball ship it supposedly transforms from. The loss of mass in inexplicable.
