I was actually surprised to see the spread that low.
Now granted, the spreads are based on what the "betters" are doing, and not what real experts think

So either the betters think that Carolina is almost as bad as the miserable Lions, or the Lions aren't as bad as they looked last week...

I also thought that this was the "lock" of the week... but you never know... on any given Sunday... blah... blah... blah...

Actually, you may not be off the mark on that. It's the home opener at the brand new stadium; the Lions have a history of rising to the occasion, such as their recent successes on Thanksgiving (last year notwithstanding).

A Lions' victory Sunday? Hmmmm...

I disagree with the missed by one week part since they should have beaten the Packers, and I'm not surprised at all to see 'em beat Nawlins... They've got hope for the first time in years now because of Harrington (who will be Rookie of the Year, no question).

For sporting events, real time is where it's at. A video is much less attractive when I know the final result -- which I will -- is much less attractive. I don't have enough free time to invest in conscious self-deception.

I'll also be on the show floor for the whole Sunday schedule (except the night game, which is usually a lame matchup).
