One of my mounted scouts has informed me, that he had met a little bare-footed warrior of an unknown nation. This tiny little thing called himself Franzosen??

To show mercy, kindness and greatness, I decided to submit a great gift to his chief - just to show the wealth of the Viking Nation.

I'm convinced it's better for the peaceful cooperation of Vikings and French if the Vikinks stop exploring further to the north into French territory. The French people are scared and afraid, as they heard of the powerful, strong and mighty mounted archer of the Vikings, coming from the unknown forests of the south. Maybe some map axchange will help that. 100 Gold were given to the French poets, resulting in a masterpiece of poetry, dedicated to the Viking leader:

This most delighted poetry, that has been send to me - just sounds lovely in my ears (though I don't understand much).

As another act of greatness, I have accepted the franzosen (dialect for french?) offer of their map. The french are - afterall - a kind of human, so my scouts tells me.

If I find that some "on his own thinking diplomat" - as an friendly act or by mistake - has offered the Viking maps, that one can look forward to a long trip into the unknown lands.
