I'll suggest 3(medium-regular map) to 5 (large map) settlers, 5000-10000 gold and m'be 500-1000 pw.

No babarians.

Put our startings in a different range than the other game we are in - let Dattler be no 2 fx.

I agree with Stavros's 5 settler quickstart (because I already have it).

I prefer to play my turns somewhere between 6 and 8 PM GMT, so anyone who prefers to play before that can be put just in front of me.

I've sent dattler the scenario for review. We should be able to get started any time now. I've experienced the least problems if everyone puts the scenario in their scenario folder, so if all is OK, we'll mail you all the scenario before we get started.

Sorry Birdman, I only noticed you didn't want barbs just now but there won't be "that" many....

When we see that the game is up and running we should start a new thread. How about "Ghia PBEM"for something unique...
