The CFC team isn't quite ready at the moment. A few more days will be needed before we can play. However we could start arranging a time to play at.

Apolyton Full PM-box? Change here!

We've a few ministerial posts filled, but still a couple of vacancies... (War and Trade erk!)

So far I'm the only person at GC that have posted the time.

And that is any time except Sunday from 4-10 PM NST (Newfoundland Standard Time)

There are supposed to be other players for our team. Like Talar and Lucky but they haven't posted time yet.

I replied to Darkness' Topic at GC here: http://www.civgaming.net/gamecatche...opic.php?t=1212

Asking what is going on.

If a member of the poly team would post a time which they can play, and the team name....they we can begin.

Aiight...thanks for the response.

If I'm to play the opening round of turns, then around 5AM GMT, Saturday, September 7, is likely to be the most suitable time I'm available. There are other times, but they are likely to be in the middle of the night for any American players.

As for a Civ, I'll get on to that now.
We'll get back to you in a couple days.

I'm in Newfoundland aka Canada. And Dell19 is in England.

So hopefully playing times won't be too hard to organize. 5 AM GMT is 2:30AM NDT. Wow...that's going to be a late night for me.

GMT times and daylight savings is confusing enough as it is, so please don't post AM/PM times on top of that

Mostly I have no problems with staying up late at night to play civ but I'm not sure I can be here a fixed time each week. Wednesdays after 19 GMT is the only day I know right now that should be ok for me most weeks.

According to my calculations...the first session of the Multisite Demo Game should begin in 2 hours and 13 minutes.

Am I correct.

Corn master thatnks for your valient efforts at making this multisite demo game work, but i truely beliebve that the apolyton forum has droped out. No one responds to posts and no new post has been made in so long that i had to change my user settings to "older than 10 days" just to see something.

Got spare money?

Well...what we can do is:
A) Start the game ASAP. When something is actually happening...then people will be interested.
B) Find the "core" players. All 3 or 4 of them. And just have a team like that. That talks through IM's or PM's.
C) Or we can just quit now and admit that the idea was a complete failure.

I don't like option C.
I know MP demo games can work because I'm in one right now. In 1460 AD and the Dominion of the Balance just annexed 4 Evil Empire cities.

But it requires commitment. on GC our teams are small....but vibrant. Your unlikely to find 50...or even 10 truly dedicated players. If you want it to succeed, YOU have to make it succeed. In the multiplayer one, Talar had to take his new Kingdom after the KEE civil war, with only one supporter and pushed his team into first place. He made it happen. And if we want the game to go though....YOU have to make it happen. All of you.

/Pep talk.

Now...lets get this show on the road, shall we?

Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

Any of the three could be equally good.

It's a matter of who has the energy to bother, though.

If I have a choice between making a serious commitment to the 80-person SMAC democracy game here, the 30-person Civ2 democracy game here, or a 5-person multisite one, which ones am I likely to put the energy into?

Well...your not part of the "core" if you are too busy, or think it's a waste of time.

I'm talking about people that REALLY want this to succeed, like Zedd who contacted me VIA e-mail. And made the first post at CFC in the Democracy game forum that started the whole thing.

This could be a game for the ages...site vs site. Results carved in stone and braging rights for a generation...or a few weeks. Either way, I don't want you to give up on the idea just yet.

We just need to get it going.....it's momentium will grow...like a snowball rolling down a hill.
