As for taking the game seriously, I'm just trying to promote some common sense. When it sounds to me like all the basic principles of Civgaming's Acadamy and Vel's Guide are being ignored, then forgive me for getting a bit rilled up.

Yes well....Try to loosen up! This isn't about winning or having the most efficent and peaceful beurocracy (as the people taught me ) its about having fun.

Somehow I don't think all that many people will be having fun if the actions of certain people elected as directors lead us to a position where the AI slaughters us and wins the game.

I also doubt we'll be having fun once party politics takes the game over and we aren't focusing as much on the game and people are doing things against other people and just making the game unfun for those whom aren't in their party but.......It's the will of the people that I, unfortunately, 'be silenced'.

It's also the will of the people to have short term 'fun' at all costs even if that means sacrasficing the long term.

It's just a game. If we lose (a distant possibility) then we lose. I wouldn't loose my sleep over it.

A distant possibility? Even with crappy AI, when you're virtually *trying* to lose with the strategies you and the CDC are proposing, you *will* lose. It might be just a game, but when people fail the team in a game, I reserve the right to blame them for it.

EDIT: And I think I can explain the Banana. Party politics prevented them voting for me, and common sense prevented them voting for your tree hugging idealism.

Archaic, if the current management is considered bad, then it will be of course replaced in October. Well, maybe not, if you start to act like ***es because you lost.

You are practically blaming the voting populace, who elected the CDC candidates, of not knowing what they are doing. Are you representing the P4 view on this or just your personal one?

If I feel bitter, it's because the promised ACE support for us supporting them for their directorates never came. Not taking independant votes into account (Which seemed to favour me anyway), this should've been 18-14 on party votes alone with the P4/ACE agreement.

That is in, a way, an admirable way of looking at things, but the truth is, if you want to co-operate with other people, you have to do compromises and act sociably, not abrasively. If one wants to do things exactly the way he wants, there's always SP.
