Turn 178 ==> Rick (a little earlier)
We welcome the Emperor Rick and may he rule wisely as the permanent Emperor Mobius has.
Are conditions between Cairo and Cardiff are sorrowing?
"We fear this is the case, and we wish bring about a better relation between our two nations. We feel this is caused by the poor education recieved in Wales; to improve the situation the Pharaoh has authorized scholarships for any Welsh official. Should they desire to attend an Egyptian University" stated Minister of Education, Omar Vitro.
This move has caused a great deal of fear in academia, that the influx of Welsh officials could cause a substantial drop in the GPA. Omar Vitro shares these concerns admitting that this is bound to happen, but he states, "The move was necessary. As we can't very well have the leaders of Wales misunderstanding simple facts."

Turn 179 ==> Sophix
Wales welcomes academics of all nationalities to her green and pleasant lands, for as you all know, our pursuit of knowledge knows no bounds.
However, academics and scholars, even Egyptian ones, do not come in the shape of cannons. I therefore advise that the 'military scholars' heading from Sebennytos towards Welsh territory turn back. You will not recieve your green card bearing instruments of war.
It is unfortunate that Cymru-Egyptian reations have soured of late, but the diplomatic silence brought in by Lord Sophix, and the secrecy of the Roma-Egyptian Alliance have meant that our once friendly neighbours have become distant from us.
The recent aggressive undertakings of espionage and troop movements on the Welsh border have only served to strengthen Welsh resolve. Here in Wales we remember all too well how we naiively let the Roman nation occupy and torture the citizens of Brecon.
We shall not make the same mistake again.

Turn to Rick
Ah Demosthenes, but would Egypt have their armies there, if not for the large contigents of Welsh troops on the Northern Egyptian border? We think not.

Turn 180 ==>Sophix
In light of the recent tension between the leaders of the world, Demosthenes made the following open public statement:
"It is unfortunate that the current dispute has already escalated to this level. I wish the people, not just of Wales, but of the entire world, to be aware of the Welsh stance on this issue.
Lord Sophix tries to deflect attention away from his aggressive stance by using Welsh troop movements as a cover. In answer to your question, the Egyptian troops have only now become aware of Welsh fortifications, and so your troops were there already, regardless of whether Wales had manned her border or not.
This is unless of course, whilst distracted by tracking the spy at Sebennytos, another Egyptian spy slipped past the noses of The WISE and acroos the border.
The military personal along the Cymru-Egyptian border are fortified in positions in order to put off the hitherto unmentioned Egyptian invasion. Just because it hasn't been explicitly stated, does not mean that we are not already aware of such designs.
The WISE believe that Cairo intends to march on the peaceful people of Wales, and so in preparation to defend ourselves against the onslaught, new regiments have been drawn together and dispatched to safeguard Welsh sovereignty.
These troops are only in position to disuade Egyptian ambitions. We do not wish to send our young men to die, hence their permanent fortifications along the border. But should it be necessary, then these troops will be called into action to ensure that not a single Welsh soul should fall under tyranny, as did our emancipated brethren in Brecon.
To help in the effort to protect ourselves from our now overtly hostile neighbours, our diplomats and scientists have been working day and night in order to find a peaceful means to persuade Lord Sophix and company not to attack Wales, or find a suitable repellent should aggression prevail.
As a noble leader once said to me, 'pray for peace, prepare for war'. We in Wales hold these words as gospel and hope that Egypt can be turned away from this path of destruction that Lord Sophix and company seem intent on following, but that doesn't mean that we will naiively leave ourselves unprepared for the possible eventuality of an Egyptian invasion.
If the sight of the might of Wales offends and fears the soldiers of Egypt, then turn them back from our borders and stand down, and we shall do the same."

Turn 180 ==> Rick
Egypt must complement Wales on the magnitude of their open letter. However We must dispute the truth of several statements.
1. It is common for an intelligence agency, to overestimate thier abilities and to underestimate the ability of foriegn agencies. The TIC (Theben Intelligence Commision) has in the distant past made this mistake with thier incursion into Australian soil ages ago. We fear the WISE is making this mistake now, as the TIC has known about the Welsh troop movements on Egypts borders for some time.
2. There are several reasons for a nation to build up her armies not all of which are agressive in nature.
We disagree with some of the ascertations of Wales, but they are matters of opinion, with which we differ.

Turn 181 ==> Sophix
Due to the uncertainty of political stability in the present and near future, Wales has offered all nations a treaty of peace. This gives all the opportunity to state their true intentions towards the Soveriegn nation of Wales.
The reactions to the treaties offered should prove many things, especially of the Egyptians, whose latest spy has been spotted heading for Welsh territory east of Llandarcy, and with their biggest troop movements to date also heading towards the northern Welsh frontier.
In a recent statement, Demosthenes proclaimed that such news was not a shock, but it would be considered a foolhardy policy to engage in war against Wales, as preparation for this event has been in the making for sometime.

Turn 181 ==> Rick
Egypt signed the peace treaty presented to them by Wales, stating as long as Cardiff gives us no reason to act we will not use our troops against Wales. The troop movements Wales complained about is not an attack force, but a defensive one. Defending his action General Ishmar Benodina stated, "It would be foolish to believe that if Wales has an inordinate number of troops on the north of the Egyptian border, that their would be no troops near southern Egypt."
Cairo also responded to the allegations of the intelligence agent in the mountains. The TIC admitted that an advanced scout had been placed there, but they did not believe this to be an action in which Wales could find fault. As the territory where the scout was is located is a nuetral one.

Wales is pleased to announce that formal peace treaties have been acknowledged and signed with all nations. We hope that all parties agree to honour these treaties.

Turn 183 ==> Sophix
Despite recent jubilation that the nations of the world are seeking a course of peace, the actions of the Egyptians prove otherwise. As we speak an army of Egyptian troops has crossed into the Welsh northern territory.
Sophix, this is a blatant act of tresspassing, and if these troops do not turn back immediately I shall have no choice but to assume that your word and deed follow opposite paths.
This is outright provocation, and we will not shy away from using our military to stop your advance.

We have complied with the Welsh request and have moved the army north of it's previous location. The Southern Bishops had ordered the previous move as it is believed that structure being built there is a listening post, and they felt the structure was an invasion on Egypts privacy. In showing thier disaproval, they ordered a Welsh emissary deported from Egypt.

Many thanks to Egypt for it's prudent withdrawal from Welsh territory. However, to ensure future safety, troops have been moved into fortified positions along the area in question. I trust that the southern Bishops will not try this action again.
No action will be taken against the dismissal of the Welsh Ambassador. However leaving your Diplomat wandering aimlessly around Wales is one thing, but to send in another, without prior warning, is considered mightily rude. I trust that both shall be withdrawn as a matter of urgency, and if they are not making their way back to Egyptian soil immediately, a helping hand can, and will, be given.

Turn 185 ==> Mobius
A small red book is set to roll off the presses. The author has remained anonymous due to the controversial nature of his work. His condemnation of religion is especially galling to the theocracy. "Phrases like 'Religion is the opiate of the masses' show that this man is a raving lunatic" stated his grace Bishop Staza of Hawara. He went on to state that the allowing the book to published was clearly against Mat. The book will be published however as the Bishops of Alexandria, Thebes, Oryx, and Cairo have thrown their weight behind it. It is of note that the Arch Bishop of Alexandria is the principal owner of the Egypt Publishing Guild, which owns the rights to the work. Other Bishops mainly the bishop of Bubastis have voiced the concern that they are jeopardizing long term stability for a short term profit; as the book is also very critical of the practices of capitalism, which has caught hold in the Nile areas of Egypt.

Turn 186 ==> Sophix
It seems that the estimation of Welsh power has decreased, or should I say that the estimation of Egyptian power has increased.
Recent world rankings show a striking rise by the Egyptians to put them in a position to overtake Wales as World Leader.
However, The WISE believes that this huge rise in estimation is due only to the massive population of Egypt, and that should Egypt embark on a policy proving unpopular with her people, such as war for example, then keeping them happy could prove most difficult.
