Just to momentarially jump back onto topic, I agree that there should be no alience at least until we see what the first few turns of war brings. Also, this decision would be in the hands of the Foreign Ministry, and Togas just posted a press release in our office thread saying that he does not plan on signing a military allience at this time as well.

I think Eng. might get creamed in its war with Greece.

The Stats report shows the English have no money (and they missed out on a wonder). The war is in their territory. How much help will the Aztecs give them?

Even before the current situation developed, I thought we shouldn't take on Greece (leave it till the middle ages, when we have Knights). Now, we would have a 4-front(!) war, not a good idea.

IF we beat France, Germany and Persia quickly AND it seems like England will be badly beaten we should consider helping them out, however, otherwise Greece may become unstoppable. But we couldn't get too committed, b'cos Germany and Persia are likely to be itching for revenge if we give them any chance.

Or more easily PRUNED. Intriguing. Maybe we should be taking advantage of the fact that German will be so extended, and mount a serious invasion: take a few cities, and cut Bis down to size. This is always a dangerous neighbor, in my experience: liable to pile on and declare war against the player whenever he goes to war with another civ. In other words, a civ that will undertaking short, limited wars difficult to pull off. Sooner or later we know we're going to have to take them on. Maybe sooner is better than later.

The next question is : Will all this induces the Greeks to declare war on us, as a side effect of their allaince with the Germans?

As I have not yet understood the reason why they make war to England, whereas I understand perfectly well that they want to check the advance of the Aztecs in the Ivory Coast, I believe that they will soon make peace with the Brits.

As far as the Germans are concerned, we have already analysed that the Aztecs are for them a logical prey : they can cut off them from the rest of the continent in gaining access to two oceans.

All this could end in two separate wars : Germano-Aztec and Helleno-Apolynian.
