After some debate on acquiring allies in our war, we decided to procede alone. We managed to 'reassign' several Persian Settler stacks and a German worker, and prepared a second sword army to possibly invade German territory.
The political mess became a bit thicker as well when Germany and Greece signed an alliance against the Aztec's. The Region is now totally embroiled in war:
Greece is at war with English, and is allied with Germany against the Aztec's
Germany is allied with Greece against the Aztec's, and France against us.
Persia is allied with France against us.
France is allied with Germany and Persia Against us.
England is allied with the Aztec's against Greece.
Our war continued forward as we took Rheims and Marseille. Unfortunately, we only held Rheims with a wounded Archer and a nearby French Warrior managed to take it back. We are currently discussing what exactly we want from Joan in return for ceasing the aggression as no more cities may be captured without them auto razing, and Joan is forced into a capitol in a desert city on the coast.
