Egyptian newsflash:

The Egyptian pharao has been sighted. This is great news because rumours had it that Franses was ill and close to dying. The pharao has been seen walking through the gardens with his scribe. So it seems he is busy ruling again.

Does anyone know whether Tyr is ready to play again?

Turn 12 to Franses.

Extract from the journal of 'Krash' Viking supreme ruler. BC 3400!

Why have the Gods chosen to set me such a difficult task on this wasteland of a world? Despite having been on this world for many years now, the growth of our settlements is painfully slow. This is due to the very harsh land conditions that my people have been given to work! Food is scarce and the soil is not suited to farming. I am hoping that Viking scientists will be able to discover better methods for our fisherman to extract food from the sea, as this seems to be our best hope of survival in such wilderness.

In the mean time, it has been necersary for me to order my people to build ships and go across vast oceans in search of new and more fertile continents on which I can expand the Viking empire. This brings with it great risk of running into unfriendly natives and risking the lives of my courageous settlers, however there are no other avenues open to me at this time.

Although so far I have not found any other signs of life on this world, it seems reasonable to assume that others do exist and so much caution is prudent while exploring, especially since it is quite plausible that other civilisations may be more advanced than our own!

I pray that soon the Gods will lead my people safely to the paradise that we crave and that my peoples will be able to build great cities with rapid growth potential.

Borderpatrols, hunters and other good folks has from time to time sight of our new neighbor. Some has even "talked" with them.

To spread Wiagras wisedom (and something else special to females) a new concept - love and understanding - has been invented.

As a start, an offer of exchanging maps has been sent.

Egyptian newsflash:
The Egyptians are used to a harsh environment and have been limited to river banks and delta's for as long as they can remember. The current environment however forces them to live close together. Searches for more fertile land have thusfar failed. They also did not yet meet any other tribes and start wondering whether pharao Franses will ever be able to build a harem that matches his status. Fortunately they are optimistic people with a strong belief in their Pharao leader. The latter did sent out new parties to investigate out further. Ships are being build to cross the seas and oceans they meet almost everywhere around them. Lets hope these courageous men will be blessed and will find the new land that they are all hoping for to find. In the meantime Pharao has ordered his scientist to look for ways to exploit the seas and oceans. This will be the only way to enable the Egyptian nation to grow to a size that matches their history.

Diplomatic negotiations with our neighbor, the chinese nations, is a success.

As we seem to be the only two civilized nations in this world, an agreement of how to devide both known as unknown territories has been made. Should we - though I doubt - find natives with some sort of civilized culture, we'll have to find a solution on that.
