Egyptian newsflash:
The wedding between Pharao and Lovebird was quite some party. The French brought wonderfull wine that kept us busy untill late at night.
Pharao was a bit disappointed that besides the two nations involved only the French were present. Neglecting an invitation like this (without even apologising for its absence) might have its consequences later on in the game. Egyptians are known to remember the good and the bad things for a long time.
PS: This message was asynchronous with my turn which I sent on yesterday.

I did not receive Midway for quite some time. Does anyone know where it is? I sent turn 34 to SOW on december 1. That was the last I have seen of it.

Dear French friends,
I happen to see your armies quit close to our city. In view of the wonderfull time we had during my wedding we invite you for a weekend of celebrations. You are welcome to our food, wine and girls whenever you want. So, if you want to have a good time for a while interrupt your journey and let us have you bring some of our delicacies to your camp (at this time our city has insufficient housing to be of any good to your army. The city is crowded with our own military people at the time). In a couple of years however we will invite you in our city to have pleasure in the theaters that we intend to build).

(turn to Tyr)
===
A french settler with his guarding force went eastward. An exploring unit has found a good place to settle there, and so it was the command of the King, that this land should be settled.
Thier spirits where high while looking forward for the riches and comfort that was laying ahead. Only a few days, 'till they would reach their destination, when Aaginor recieved a message from Franses, that a french unit has been spotted close within a egyptian city range. But no exploring unit has made a report of a egyptian city. Could it be that ... NO! NOT AGAIN! We CAN'T always be too late.
And then ... an exhausted messenger from the settlers arived in Paris. They have found an egyptian city, Sinai, exactly in that place, where they were commanded to settle down.
The next hour Aaginor raged around his palace, destroying everything that came into his range (including 6 men of his personal guards, who tried to calm him down)
Then, he went to the provisioner and drunk himself to unconsciousness within 10 minutes. And yet, he isn't wake again ...

Dear Aaginor,
Me, Franses, Pharao of Egypt feels great pain because you suffer so much from our small city Sinai. I assure you that I had no idea that the French were reaching out to setlle in the same spot. This because it is so far away from Paris, your capitol.
Please await a couple of nice girls to arrive in Paris soon. They will bring you gifts of the Egyptian empire. Among it our delicious sheep eyes that you enjoyed so much during my wedding (even though you may not remember it since you were quite drunk at the time).
To further settle any possible future problems I suggest that we immediately set our borders. It seems reasonable that we will not enter the land east of Tours. The small area west of Tours, which is close to the Egyptian empire will then be settled by our settlers.
I trust that this solution and our gifts will ease your dispair. But.... since friends speak out the truth to each other I feel obliged to warn you. Please realise that the French can not occupy all of this world. They should leave somewhat space for others, for Russians as well as Egyptians. This sincere advise may save you from a destiny that happened to one of your great leaders to come, Napoleon.
Your friend Franses
PS1: Lovebird also sent you her regards.
PS2: This message was sent out of sink with my turn. Did not see Midway for a couple of days.

Yes, Solver, feel free to rate me (whatever that means. You do not want to know what it means in Dutch, that's for sure).

Hm, I must admit that I do not know what the words in Latvian mean. Something left to learn, Solver.
Hm, hm, my Birdman friend seems to know everything. I should have known.
As far as the rating is concerned, I beat Deity regularly. That is what brought me here. There was no challenge anymore.
Having said all that, I still don't know what this rating is. I will have to explain things to my harem you know? They have nothing else to do then being curious (well, they have one other thing to do but that is pretty private).

Just red the rating thread, so I know now what it is and you do not have to explain it anymore.
Learned two things:
1. Birdie will be angry because he will just fall another place in the ranking. Sorry Birdman, I will make it up to you, some day.
2. My harem will be disappointed.
