kamrat, it's just the way i read it:

bajor = rich ancient history and culture.
korea = rich ancient history and culture.

bajor = occupied by a resource poor foreign empire, also with a rich history and culture which was at one time peaceful, before a long era of troubles (cardassia)
korea = occupied by a resource poor foreign empire, also with a rich history and culture which was at one time peaceful, before a long era of troubles (japan)

bajor = civilians used as slave labor for occupying empire, and people used as "comfort women".
korea = civilians used as slave labor for occupying empire, and people used as "comfort women".

bajor = after the occupation, lots of political upheaval with people wanting different things, following different ideologies (for instance, the "circle")
korea = after the occupation, lots of political upheaval with people wanting different things, following different ideologies (for instance, the damn commies)

bajor = a large, angry, but ultimately not very successful resistance movement, which only won because the empire needed to cut its losses and run

I always bought my way out of those. Then again, none of my classes ever raised money by discos, the ones who were meant to arrange them were usually blissfully inept and tardy in doing so.

DOS, 3 1/2, those bigger actually floppy floppy disks, 1mb being a **** load of memory.

I could go outside and nothing was wrong, puddles were playgrounds, Trees were castles, ants and spiders were meant for Gladiatorial combat, rolly pollies and catapillars were huge mysteries, babies came from mommy's tummy, girls were just guys, running was enjoyable, Islands floated, people dying didnt affect me, a day would seem like an eternity, getting good grades actually meant something to me, kindergarten chairs were normal size so were the desks, 6th graders were *HUGE* and smart, GI Joes was the coolest thing on tv, MTV was just something stupid my older sisters watched....

Hi hi that has nothing to do with the 90s per se as much as the way we viewed it, but I was born in 1983 and kinda feel like space.
For me the early nineties was when ppl talked about the Gulf War and I thought it was important, because they sounded so involved, when politics seemed like important and fun stuff etc...
