	A new NES Tired of ads?

This will be loosely based on the NES run by Civman with one alteration there will be no aristocracy. Obviously there would be more states but I have almagamated many of them together t ensure everyone has something to play with. Technology is at ww1 stage.

There are 11 states and 12 nationalities

The states are:

United States (including occupied Canada and Ireland)

Army: Large (most occupying former CSA states and Canada

Air: Meduim
Economy: Large and Steady

Confederate States (including Mexico which is a puppet state)

Army: Meduim (being downsized by treaty with USA)

Air: Small (illegal by treaty with USA)
Econmy: Large but suffering hyper inflation

I having a bit of trouble with the maps if anyone knows a good way to post them give us a yell. Essentially, I think this would be a slower moving NES as commitments killed the last one. I would say that posting once every few days would be a good start tho.

I think we'll wait for a few people to sign up before we start

Space you are the people of Western Europe then. Note that the people of Western Europe also includes the Australian land mass and New Zealand as they are basically European.

Ugh, that is one messy map...I'll try to make it a bit neater and post it sometime later today.

Nitpicks about being based on American Empire (although I've only read the 1st book so far):
1. There is little reason to believe GErmany would actually conquer France itself, instead of just taking its colonies and some (but not all) of France.
2. THere is little reason to believe Britain would be left with ANY of her colonies at all.
3. Russia would've lost a LOT more territory.
4. Spain wpuld probably be German or inependent, but not British.

Overall though, these are just little details. This NES looks to be great!

Hmmm...i'll be the north american people...that should be interesting

Let's get this started before it dies.

In Kentucky and the newly created state of Houston, citizens riot in protest of Union rule. At least 24 blacks have been lynched and 35 whites killed by police.

In the CSA, the Radical Liberal party is gaining ground on the longtime ruling Whig party. However, a new right wing part called the Freedom Party is also strong. However, it still looks like the Whigs will win the upcoming election.

To start off yeah this is based on the Turtledove Series - American Empire. If anyone hasn't read this it is possibly the greatest series of books I have read. The newest book out in Australia, Blood and Iron takes place when this NES is suppoed to start just after ww1 with the CSA and its allies defeated, Canada occupied.

For Civaman any discrepincies on the nature of the book and the playing map is to make most nations have a fighting chance. And in the cse of Britain they never lost their colonies in the novel they only lost the Sandwich Islands (Hawaii), Ireland and Canada.

Considering Civman took the North American people off me I have decide to be Japan. . I reckon Civman that you could do well being the USA for the time being too, until someone else wants it.

The Japanese government although on the Entente side and therfore a loser lost nothing had to pay little in way of reperations. In an attempt to bring peace and Asian rule to China the Japanese army ammasses their troops along the Chinese border.

TO THE CSA We are doing this to ensure that the freedoms we fought for during the Great War do not dissapear now that peace has been made.

TO THE USA If you deign to attack us while we secure the Asain people form futher European imperlism we will decide not to continue with the peace that is so fragile at the moment. Remember you have you hands full in Canada, in Ireland, in The Sandwich Islands and in those states you took form the CSA. You have been warned.

TO THE REST OF THE WORLD We only seek to ensure our survival and that of the Asian people. Do not be alarmed at this as we will not attack a sturdy friend or surpporter and will not intiate any hostility that isn't in our aim to create the Great Asian Co-Prosperity Zone.

occ: The genocide idea has been done and besides if authority tried to kill my friends I would rise up and overthrow my government. Also try to remember that chemical weapons killed the last NES so try not to use them and Nukes aren't invented for another 30 years so it wont make sense if suddenly say the Ottomans go WE HAVE THE BOMB!!!!!

Election results in! Wade Hampton V, a Whig, has been elected in the CSA, and Roosevelt has become the first president to be elected 3 times in the US! (ooc: This will give an interesting twist on what happens in the book)

Martial law has been declared in Kentucky and Houston. In the CSA, the Radical Liberals are being attacked by Freedom PArty mobs in the streets. ROosevelt has threatened to move the US army back in if the CSA government is unable to preserve order and does not crack down on the anti-Union fanatics.

The US also demands that the treaty requirements (army is medium-small, navy is small, no airforce) be met withing 36 hours realtime or the CSA will be occupied.

The CSA agrees to these demands, but kindly requests a non-agression pact, since are military has been reduced to a very small defencive force.

In the CSA, teh Freedom Party has begun using their mob/army to harass blacks. Roosevelt reiterates his warning that if teh CSA does not crack down on the Freedom Party the US will be forced to occupy the CSA.

Roosevelt has been assassinated! The Ex-VP and new President Wilson declares that the assassin was Confederate, and moves troops across the border, occupying the states of Virginia (including the capital Richmond) and N. Carolina! However, Congress is dominated by a coalition of Socialists and Republicans, who refuse to declare war, say that invading is too hasty and there should be a full investigation (OOC: No one knows but the assassin was actually an insane extremist Socialist). They have passed an emergency resolution halving the military budget allocation (overturning the president's veto) in an attempt to halt the invasion. Congress has also challenged the constitutionality of Wilson's actions and is threatening to impeach him.
