Glasses, since I was 10, or so. I started out wearing them very little (mostly just in the classroom or when watching TV), now I wear them practically all the time.

The details: Left -2.75, Right -2.25.

I tried contacts a couple of years back, wore them one day, then decided it wasn't worth the trouble.

I wore glasses from the 1st grade until 9th. Then I got contacts adn I have worn them mostly since. The only times I wear glasses is at night when the contacts start getting all blurry.

I have had glasses since 5th or 4th grade.

After 6th grade I did not wear them more than a couple times a year.

I mostly wear contacts, and only wear glasses as a backup (like when I get pink eye or when my allergies make my eyes too itchy for contacts, f'rinstace). I recently got some new glasses, because I discovered that my glasses (which hadn't been replaced in four years) were so outdated that I couldn't drive with them anymore.

Yes I do. I've had to have them since I was in 5th grade. I'm near sighted in one eye, far sighted in the other and have a stigmatism. NNOOOOOOOooooo I couldn't just have the normal bad eye sight

Yes......I just found that out. Selfbiased was going upstairs and corrected me while I was typing. I just always thought when they said you have a stigmatism that it was seperate.

I have mostly astigmatism

for a short while I was slighlty farsighted (2nd or 3rd year of glasses was when I was told I was farsighted)

currently I am slightly nearsighted (switched in the course of a year)

otherwise my eyes have not changed

This is quite a "normal" phenomenon, children can have eyeballs that are too "flat" at the front, causing farsightedness.
However, as they get older and grow bigger, the eyes grow bigger and more convex, causing the eyesight to return to "normal", or too convex, causing nearsightedness.

Kids pick on anyone with something to mark them out as "different".

I wear glasses- have done since I was about 22. Age is such a leveller.

Glasses only, although my mum wears both...she has pretty awful eyesight as well as astigmatism. It's so fun. I get all the **** genetics from my parents (bad eyesight from mum, poor circulation and terrible hair from dad, personality problems from both of em) and my sister gets off scot free. Nice. Although I probably deserve all that **** more than she does, so the universe probably got it right this time.

Been wearing glasses since the 4th grade.

Since I can't touch my eye's, I can't wear contacts....besides, I'm just gonna save up my $$$ and get that laser eye surgery. Does anyone know how long it takes?

The ones I am thinking about getting are feather-weight frames with ultra-thin lenses. Probably will run me $300.

These are featherwates (that's how Lenscrafters calls them anyway) and very thin lenses and an anti-reflective coating too.

And they're rimless at the bottom! OHH.
