Germany, I think, is going to be our greatest adversary in the near future. Our troops are out of position and this is not a war we anticipated. We need to develop our towns first. We need to force peace as soon as possible so we can be on better footing to deal with them in the future.

I agree that we need to make peace and that this should be done sooner rather than later, but...

as long as our position is not seriously threatened, I see no reason not to push it a little and get Munich and a tech or something.

It is their war after all. So, they are the ones who should pay to end it.

We were completly unprepared for war with Germany. Make peace as soon as possible, don't waste our time with Munich, and move on to wipe out Persia before they get Iron in a trade.

I still believe Munich represents an excellent hostage in relation to Germany. As long as we hold their dye supply in our borders we have a chance to use them as a mercenary nation or they risk losing their luxury (sudden loss would send their cities into turmoil).

I say take peace as soon as favorable terms can be gained (meaning don't pay them off, make them accept peace for peace or pay us)

But I believe that is much more likely after we take or raze a city from my past dealings with Bismark, he ussually makes outragous demands for peace with me early in a war.

I suspect munich is why they decalred war, they are afraid of loosing it culturally. once out of the picture, peace ASAP as they are big enough to hurt us.
