I think all the players here have SMACX, so it is just a matter of preference.

And large or huge then? I suspect Mongoose might prefer large, unless he is a much stronger Hive player than I am. Any other custom settings you would like?

I will also need a faction choice for H0bbes.

So...SMAC, large map, Transcend, avg. rainfall, avg. erosion, middle ocean coverage, avg. native life, directed research, no random events, no unity survey, lots o' pods , no spoils, no tech stag. Right?

I do not need the tech choice in a SMAC game, since I can make those start in 2101 and let the University choose its own tech. (I can start SMACX games in 2101 as well, but only if I manually place all fungal towers back on the map after saving it, which is too much of a pain.)

So I have everything I need. Today and tonight look fairly busy for me, but I should be able to get it started some time tomorrow.

Hmm.. Tournament games are limited to four players. I do not mind making a five-player game, but it would be outside the confines of the tournament.

Do the other four of you want to add Dreifels and make it a five-player game, or keep it as originally intended with four players?

How about making a second tournament game with me and Dreifus? We could use same parameters (SMAC, large random) to make a dual start easier.

Faction preferences are UofP > PK's > Gaians > Morganites > Hive > Spartans > Believers

More tournament games are always welcome. I notice xeno7667 stated his interest in the ordinary signup thread as well - are you interested in joining DilithiumDad and Dreifels in another one, xeno? And Dreifels, are you interested in playing plain SMAC (DDad does not play SMACX MP)? I already have some previous signups that could be the fourth player, for example EmperorJay. Sound good?

The first game will probably be delayed till tomorrow. Sorry.

i will play in another game as part of the tournament would prefer the tournament map for something different but random is fine.
I play UoP, will play Cybernetics or Drones however.
I will play a few concurrently so if there are n e other tourney games being arranged i'll b down
