	Letter from Mingapulco Tired of ads?

Given the opportunity, I decided to check out the 'banishment feature'.

Most things seem to be as they should, but not everything.
Initially, I was still able to enter the chat room, which didn't seem right. Of course when Markos saw me and changed the code the room imploded on him.

I also could send and receive mail, which I think is correct (if only to alert the mods that a week has 7 days, not 9 ).

I don't know if the report function was working. I tried it, and there was no error report, but I did not receive a reply.

I could use the Buddy function, but not the Search function which is strange since I was allowed to read all posts. Instead I could rate threads, which IMHO I should not have been able to.

Of course the final question is whether the banishment served a purpose.

Well, I don't think it did. Since Markos gave no reason for the
'punishment' it gave me little to think about during my stay in sunny Mingapulco. It didn't appear to set an example either, since right after others continued where I left off, asking for new flags ... lesson to learn: if you punish someone, say why.

Markos did say why, it was because you kept harping on the flags after he said "be quiet or be banned"

Have to agree with DC, it seemed pretty obvious in the thread. Starting another thread about it is probably not a good idea.
