Done, but I have a rather odd looking planet thats kinda freaking me out, is this right?

120X240 works well, the other blew the computer`s mind!
The terrain still looks a bit odd in place but with a bit of patience it`ll do.

No, it doesn't. Any size will do, as long as the ratio isn't too extreme (e.g. 100:1) and the values aren't too low (e.g. 1x2), anything goes...

Exactly, that's what was the problem here: if you create very large maps without modifying map.txt accordingly, you will get huge sections of the aforementioned 'freaky hotpotch'.
