We're still deciding on the name of our Civ, but it'll probably be the Apolytonians.

Apolytonia is in the process of gearing up for the big start, however we have not heard reply's from all the cabinet members or the pres. Darkness' Edge has elected to be the first Foreign minister of our regime but we have not located anyone else. I will be happy to play as Pres, however I would not be able to make the saturday time due to family obligations. (gotta move my ma )

If I have not gotten any more responses from a person willing to play Sat then we may need to delay the start to another day (SUNDAY works for me)

Alright.

I offered to stand down in favor of Zedd, as he seems to be more passionate about getting this started. He seems to have accepted, but doesn't seem to be able to make this time. I can make the Saturday time, and I'd be happy to fill in for him.

However, I think it might be a good idea to delay for another week, for two reasons.

Firstly, we could find a time Zedd could make, as the President.
Secondly, the Apolyton team really isn't ready. Zedd's making a roll call, and I just made a big proposal to merge ministries so that all jobs are filled. I think we're going to need a week or so to get in touch with all the ministers, find out if everyone's still interested, and get the first polls going. We ARE getting there, but I think we need one more week.

I agree, I would really like to see apolyton on par with the rest of the groups for a start this weekend but it will be an apolytonia of two by the looks of it I have emailed everyone named on the sighnup forum so i expect some reply's but doubtfully by sat.

Should we set a deadline first play date of 9/21/02 @ 22:00 GMT???

9/21/02 @ 22:00 GMT for play time correct

I have just one other question, Who will be creating this world of ours to play on? I have not set a game up with the "personalized" CIV before, however IIRC i think i know how.

Also I have a limited ONLINE MPG experience so i may not be the best person for that job. just not sure what all is involved, eg. choosing a server and choosing who/how many to allow to enter. I will research some more on the matter but if anyone would like to volunteer.........

I think CornMaster'll be creating the map. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Zedd: I've played a few MPGs. It's pretty straightforward...just follow the options, type in the IP address when asked, etc...

I have joined other games and I have initiated one mp game with Mechwarrior3 but never initiated a MP game in civ2 so I didn't know if there was a real difference. Other than that I think we just need to get the basic rules of play in cement which will leave us ready for saturday.
