Unfortunately we lost Demosthenes (see the thread "those who play with Demosthenes). I already asked for a replacement (see the thread "replacement needed in fast game").
I suggest we wait for a couple of days to see whether a replacement comes up. This would also suit quinns who is away untill saturday.
Blackice, I leave the final decision to you. Perhaps you even know someone that can take over from Demosthenes?

Nuke Boy,
We congratulate you with your new position. It looks like the Welsh now have a wise leader who, countrary to what his name implies :-), is aware of the rules of peace and supports them.
As for the Mongols. If this all really is a misunderstanding I, pharao of Egypt, expect the Irish and Mongols to leave Greek territority immediately. I am sure Darth Viper is not out for war and as soon as we have his confirmation that the Irish are left we will use our influence with him to release the hostages.
And as far as the preparation for death is concerned. We know for a long time now that the day will come that we have to die. That is exactly why I started to build my pyraice. We are sure however that my death will not come by Mongol hand. :-):-):-)

Great Ruler of the Eygptians. The Welsh are a peaceful nation and we are guided by the rule of law. Although we are not at war, our military must train for and be prepared for its eventuality. Our politicians, elected officials, make policy, the Welsh military is an instrument of that policy. I, Nuke Boy, took an oath to defend my government from all threats foreign and domestic. Although the Welsh do not seek conflict, we intend to defend ourselves and will repel foreign invaders.

Dear Franses of the Egyptians,
I respect your opinion, so I want you to understand this. Yes, I did send my settlers into neutral territory with no direct support in their tile. The military support was one tile away. It was not the "Settlers" that were killed, it was an established Mongolian city that was destroyed. In hind sight, I suppose it was foolish of me to TRUST the Greek leader's SIGNED PEACE AGREEMENT. I foolishly thought that this, now worthless, piece of paper meant something. As for the proof of Darth the Greek's actions, I would be happy to send you my entire previous turn if you wish, (and you have my permission to open it, and view it as you please, as I have nothing to hide).

Well, then this is a misunderstanding, it seems, after all. Darth Viper was, I suppose, blinded by the fact that he found an Irish warrior near his capital though he had written comfirmation (he showed it to me) that the Irish would retreat. You may remember this, great Mongol leader, because it was your signature at the end of the paper. At the same time a Mongol city arose (he showed me pictures of that) one tile from his warrior. These kind of facts would have confused me too.
Well, knowing all the facts now, I will try to persuade Darth Viper to stop his preparations of taking more hostages. I am not sure I will succeed though since the continous trespassing of the Irish and your request to him "to prepare to die" made him a bit itchie. Since his intelligence told him that the Mongol and Irish cities are ill defended he might decide to come after you both after all. If so, and you die in the process be sure that I liked communicating with you. If, by any change you may be taken prisoner, I will ask him to sent you over to me as a slave and I will make you project manager of the construction of my Pyraice. How about that? So, the future may not be to bad for you after all, he? Well, let's hope my influence will stop him from any really agressive acts and enable you to reign another few years. Do not count on to many though. It is better to face reality then to be taken by it by surprise. .

Dear Nuke Boy,
As you are aware that we fully support your vision of state affairs you will not be surprised that we also understand your wish to get rid of the Greeks from your territory. And I can assure you, so does Darth Viper.
At this moment Darth Viper is unable to communicate but he let me know that he was not aware that he was tresspassing untill you sent out a request to him to "stop tresspassing". Accepting your "stop tresspassing" request would have brought him in great problems. But be assured that he will leave your territory immediately. To that respect he ordered his troops to even travel through ice and snow, if needed. He also asked me to apologize for this unfortunate event. I trust you will accept his apologies and will postpone your planned police action to see whether he abides (???) to his promises,

PS: Your predecessor and I agreed to have a nice pot of beer sometime. Herewith I invite you, as his successor, to come to Egypt instead of him. Be sure it will be fun.

To all world leaders: Let us never forget who drew "first blood" and "violated an official peace treaty" in this war between the Mongols and Greeks -- that would be GREECE.
Egypt continues to blabber in the defense of Darth the Greek's atrocities, quibbling about "you said that he would do this".... Right, like I have any real control of Ireland  . If you remember my exact "signed" quote to you Darth, I said that "...IF I WAS STILL IN CHARGE OF THE IRISH NEXT TURN, that I would retreat from Greek territory...". Instead, King Arthur retook control of Ireland on the following turn, and, as he is the rightful leader of Ireland, he did what he thought was in the best interest of Ireland. Darth of the Greeks should have, obviously, known that the leader of the "Mongols" cannot force Irish policy, nor make "agreements" in the name of "Ireland".
It is obvious that Mongolia and Ireland have not been the only targets of agression from Greece. Now, the good country of Wales complains of similar problems with Greece. Join with me, all good nations of the world, to rid this earth of Darth the Greek -- breaker of treaties and murderer of innocent civilians!
