Egyptian newsflash:
No sign of a real civilization yet. The Samurais, warriors and phalanxes are all trained and well equipped but what for? Generation of generation go by without a fight taking place. It becomes harder and harder for Franses to find new soldiers. It is so boring to be a soldier these days. To give them something to do, Franses decided to send shiploads full of them to the Greek nation. Word has it that they met plenty of opponents to fight with. The only fear these soldiers have is that Darth Viper, being a peacefull and civilized man, will not allow them to fight these opponents. Time will tell.

But... finally. Scouts reported they did find some living human beings on this world. They are red-faced and very primitive. We call them Barbarians. An army of soldiers was sent to them immediately. Generally, Franses would like such barbarians to become slaves but the order now is: Go and do as you please.

Egyptian newsflash:
After a very, very long journey we are happy to announce that our ships detected another civilization. And what kind of civilization? They call themselves the Welsh, the people we have been looking for, for so long since they too, like the Egyptians, love beer. Franses immediately send out a party carrying the best Egyptian beers to celebrate this happy event and to invite the Welsh leader for a feast that Egypt has never seen before.

Welsh News:

Today Nuke Boy instituted a number of economic reforms aimed at kick starting the Welsh economy. The response was immediate and overwhelming. Gold flowed into the Welsh treasury as never before. Celebrations were had throughout the realm. Some were not able to attend after still being hungover from celebrating with the Egyptians Tributes from distant lands were accepted from a people know as the Mongols. The Welsh gods are truly happy.

It is indeed allowed to give gifts or to trade as soon as you have detected another civilization including your partner. We did not make a rule against that. I have seen gifts pass by before, so I suppose all are aware of that.

Egyptian newsflash:
The Egyptians miss their beloved river Nile. Their knowledge of non-flooded farming is just not yet good enough to ensure that their is sufficient food everywhere. As a result a whole city died of starvation last year. Although no one dares to dispute the rulership of the Pharao (yet) some whisper that it were the orders of Franses that caused it all. They say he is to busy with wars that never start, building his pyraice and expanding his harem instead of taking care of his people.

In the mean time Pharao Franses requested all other civilizations to assist Egypt in these troubled times and forward their farming knowledge to Egypt. In his letter he explained to the other civilizations that this can be done using the diplomacy screen and hitting the button "offer gifts". If no farming knowledge is present civilizations may also send Gold or PW that will be used by the Egyptians for civil works. His speech ended with "the people of Egypt are anxiously awaiting your gifts."

Heh heh heh Ok this is fast and dirty but you take a stick (about two inches around) ok, and start walking in a straight line. You have to put the stick in the soil (dirt) firmly about say two inches. You keep walking for lets say a half mile then take your seeds and put them in the long two inch line you have made say two inches apart. Then cover the seeds with the soil (dirt) that was pushed aside buy the stick to make the line. Then you water them and watch them grow. Of course this requires workers and they must be well feed or drunk (do not use drunk workers for the straight line this can and will cause problems, just for the seeds and watering) to proform this task. I hope that helps

Welsh News

Nuke Boy narrowly survived a vote of no confidence by the Welsh parliament today. In a press conference Nuke Boy announced a Welsh city had perished by starvation last turn. Considering the above to be a matter of national security Nuke Boy engaged in a massive cover up operation. Apparently a beer delivery man discovered the fate of the doomed city when no one was available to accept Egyptian beer at the last known position of the city. Speculation was running rampant thorugh the Welsh countryside of a contagious disease as apparently the Egyptians have suffered a similar fate. Nuke Boy called out to the international community for humanitarian assistance.

Greek News

When Darth Viper heard the news about the Egyptian city which died of starvation he immediatly called all his ministeries to set up a emergency plan for the Egyptians and if the Welsh are right about the contagious disease also for the Greeks. Darth Viper immediatly send whole caravans with gifts to his friend the Egyptian leader Franses. He said he hoped the gifts he send could be used to help the Egyptian nation against this disease. When word came out about the Welsh city who died by starvation became very scared because the disease was comming closer and closer to Greece. When Darth Viper heard this he immediatly started his immergency plan. In a speach he explained the emergency plan. The most important point of the plan was that there wouldn't be any transportation for 3 whole days. Darth Viper also said he was confident the disease would not spread to Greece and that this only was a precaution.
