And about both the bomb and the space run, the scientists who worked for america werent only europeans that fled before WWII. It was also nazis scientists, gloriously saved from Nuremberg's judges by america who hired them.

And everytime america helped any one else, it was simply for their own profit. Can anyone let me know if they ever ONCE in their short history helped anyone just to be helpful ?

we really didnt get much help from 9/11 execpt for military forces which was really to help their own country from terrisom. america helps everytime somebody is in trouble we always give money and forces but hardly ever get thanked for it.

Even though Charmon's somewhat inept defense of the US is lamentable, I agree with the spirit of his statement. Yes, the US has done some things that we should not be proud of... but I think America has done many things that it SHOULD be proud of-- ridding Afghanistan of a repressive government, stopping Iraqi atrocities in the streets of Kuwait City-- sure, of course they were for our benefit. But there are many things we do in which the benefit to us is not clear. Somalia-- it's unfortunate that our intervention in Somalia turned out so badly, but who was it who landed on the beach to feed the starving masses? And foreign aid to us during 9/11? Ok, the british went with us. Meanwhile, Palestinians danced in the streets, the Arab world in general sat back, Asia was silent... Europe, while not silent, goes forward to say that we should NOT further liberate countries under oppression-- and believe me, Iraq, and the Arab World, would benefit from the removal of Saddam's regime. Oh well. People are always pissed at those better of than they. Get over it. Find an economic system that works, instead being angry at us for having one.

Yes you did. Not to the same extent as African countries, etc. of course (because you can deal with it yourselves, in the main) but Canada's often sent disaster teams south to help you when you needed it...and you've sent teams north.

In the end, this is a stupid question. The reason Guatemala doesn't sent relief to the poor besieged US is the same reason Mali doesn't send relief to France.

The United States of America was founded in 1776. The American people consists of hundreds of Races and Religions. Although America is often criticized by many people, especially muslims, the truth is that America is by far one of the most just and liberal countries compared to the rest of the world.

The United States saved the world from Nazi Fascist Invasion in the 1940's. If it wasn't for the USA much of the world would have been destroyed and forced to live under a strict persecuting regime. The same Nations that criticize America's poltical system today, wouldn't even exist, had it not been for the American's strong courage in WWII.

Eventhough the US donated BILLIONS of dollars in international humanitarian aid to many places in the world ranging from Palestine all the way to Somalia, and risks many American soldier's lives just to keep peace aboard to avoid another world war breaking out, they are STILL criticized by foreign politicians for getting involved in business that is not theirs.

Europe and Islam should stop the jealousy and greed. Look for another political Scapegoat! America is the greatest supporter of freedom in the world, and those who deny that and use shallow propaganda to suggest otherwise are self-centered, poltically motivated sellouts
