Guys, I'll wait for the next turchat or turthread to make the maps. The reason? I am, like Arnelos, member and supporter of a Party here, in Brazil. Well, not exactly like Arnelos, I'm on the left wing… And we can win, for the first time in Brazil! I’m not a complete radical, but this is a poor country, we need this change.... The fact is: we'll have four days before the elections, and I'll be very, very busy in these days... I promise all the maps just after the next turnchat (this is not a politician promise; I can assure you ).

Ok, I looked up some info on the race...
Interesting.... da Silva and Gomes are both running again, apparently... I assume you're a supporter of da Silva, no?
As for Cardosso, I see he's not running and Serra is running in his place (and apparently doing very badly)...
Well, I suppose the good there is that the leftists in Brazil are more like the leftists in Chile and Argentina than, say, the leftists in Venezuala
This could be interesting, good luck. |
Thanks, Arnelos!
Yes, I'm a supporter of da Silva and his party. They are a little more... how can I say... Civilized. In addition, they have the support of middle class, too. Lula (da Silva) has his larger percentage of votes inside the sectors of society with a college degree (this is surprising, in Brazil). In fact, is more like... uh... the left wing of the Socialist parties in Europe (well, without the corruption ). But it's not a good comparison.
An interesting thing to you, who is involved in politics in a professional level: The PT (“Partido dos Trabalhadores": Worker's Party; not Labour Party) has a modern concept of what is "left", it’s not a Marxist party. I’ll search for some links in English (Spanish, maybe?) about the “PT”. Let me see…it's not a populist party, like the “Peronistas” in Argentina, for instance, or the Socialist Party in Spain, It’s not a communist party too… it’s different.
Unfortunately, my English is not good enough to say more… I’m sure this could be very informative.
You know how this works: some people don’t like politics, some don’t care, and others just love it.

I am looking at the site http://www.arociv.com/Maps.html
the 430AD map is the only link working, correct?
Interesting spread - your nice and close to Berlin, how are they getting along with their neighbours? I wouldn't want Greece and Germany getting too friendly. France and US are neutralised I see. England never seems to amount to much. Are the Aztecs on the war path yet? It always amazes me how many units they can slap down. Aztecs and Persians - godz, I hate those two!
