The politburo was fairly busy today. The decison of raising mandatory work hours from 8hours to 12 hours was made. Workers groups protested but the demostrations were fairly low key. To appease them, Rations were raised also.

The Ministry of Production cites that China "Industrialization" plan is on schedule and that this should speed up the pace of China's modernization.

China wishes to announce that the straights between Zibo, and the Chinese mainland will no longer be regarded as international waters. Only Chinese and Jamaican ships can pass through. The deal was worked out bye low level diplomats, because after all, the island is predominately Jamaican. So it is not within our right to deny them passage.

We spotted an english SOL several turns ago. Should there be a repeat of this, Chinese navy will have act in accordance with international law and board/confiscate the ship!

This turn one of our Subs stumbled upon not 1 but 2 english SOL's 3 spaces off our shore. It would be EXTREMELY wise for Slamp to withdraw them ASAP. If they are not, then there will be a seroius international incident. Our spy towers have confirmed that they are years away from English shores.. It would be wise to keep them away/send them home, as our may paranoia increase, upon spotting any more english ships. And would cause a rash decision among our fine naval officers.

I was really surprised to find babarian activity on the island, than the americans and the romans are settling.

As more as there were a fully equipped advanced fisheri - just ready to be used for the crabs, that the shallow waters are full of here.

If I remember right, I think that was Russian. I had an old map showing a Russian fishing village there. It was the farthest north Russian city, so I sent a diplomat. But when my diplomatic party arrived it was a burned out. Seeing the angry natives, my men left. But not before giving the locals a few cannon blasts.

I take it the Russians established a city on this island and it got attacked by a wicked barb. I wonder if the city had a defensive unit within its gates. I have had a city on this Island for several turns now and haven't seen a barb, so I guess Swissy's friendly diplomatic party rid the Island of this vermin. Well I guess I should say thanks Swissy.

China thanks the English for wisely withdrawing the 2 SOLs. But it would be nice if they also withdrew that longship aswell. With each appearance of english ships, our generals grow more and more nervous. This season alone a well known destroyer admiral almost ordered his guns to send that a english ship to the bottom of sea. Only pleas from the politburo and Saddam, prevented the honorable Admiral Zhu Xuing, from sinking it.

We also must ask this to slamp, Why must the english need there heavy industrys so polluting? 5 of the 10 top polluting cities are theres, aswell as all of the top 3. We demand the world deem this illegal, for they must condemn this molestation of the Global Enviroment. China condemns England on both of these Issues.

Well I'm sorry Saddam and it was nothing deliberate from me. In fact everything looks normal at this end, the problem may have been with one of our mail providers.

Hey Fraze no problem, I talked to the dorks at AOL. They insist the problem does not exist. But I found a bug in the coding, and ill be damned if Im going to let those fools call me a liar ..

Why the hell do I pay 23.95 a month for this slow ass ISP anyway Oh wait, forgot that its a ****in monopoly....Its eithier this or earthlink. But Time Warner(a branch company of AOL) controls the phone lines around here. And they delibrately slow down competing ISP modem speeds. So I really dont have a choice...

However, no more of this ****, Roadrunner is finally coming in later this summer(another branch of Time warner/AOL )! If I had to bet, ide say the service will be much more expensive than usaul.

It looks like our gold simply disappear - no matter how hard and how many times I ask my people to increase their savings, they just keep spending them for their own amusement.

I could reduce their wages - but that would probably make a lot of unrest throughout my nation.

Something has to be done - but I do not know yet what would be best for the nation. I have to think of science, growth and defense at the same time - it seems to me, that one of these has to be sacrified to achive the two others.

Do our neighbours think that troops totally completely patrolling within American borders are a threat to them. Would'nt it be more logical that they would be more of a threat outside of American borders. Would our neigbours prefer if we didn't build any troops within our lands. How about I leave a nice big sign on the border saying "No troops, please invade". I think I would rather build lots of troops and have you paranoid, then build none and have me paranoid.
