The Times reports that despite the cessation of hostilities between England and Brazil, the English have become unhappy, while trade has also collapsed. The economics and social affairs correspondents estimate that it is going to take Ages to work out the Reason.

Congratulations to the Mayans reaching Age of Reason in only 39 turns. That must be a record!

------

The Fourth World-wide Fair of 2050 BC, show not much interest between travelers whom came from all the unknown world. People of the english unkown town bring news that they still are the biggest civilization on the world, 20% higer, now the Mayan are equivalent to the new developed unkown civ of Romans.

Two important things was made by 4 Conejo: Age of Reason and the proposal of a new goverment, still on paper but by the next turn (50 years) Democracy will be discovered. His son "El Ojitos Mesa" is the main candidate to be the 1st president of the Mayan Country.

"If you choose my democracy then a low grow in the power graph is expected for the mayans, super science expected up to 1000+ per turn but lower production."
Fragment of a speech of 5 Conejo at the Ball Game Stadium of Copan

Here a resume extracted from a foreign scriban captured before he scape the Maya land with TOP secret information:

Government: Scientific Theocracy in a state of democratic change
Cities: 15 (up 50%)
Population: 310,000 (up n.d.)
Land: Mainly desert 30%, 20% forest, glacier 40%
Science: 29 advances, (down from .833 to .725, advances with more cost now ~1500)
Researching Democracy (1 turn),
SCI 635 (up 25.5%)
Trade rutes: 6 beavers, elephants and crabs

The Times editorial today reports increasing unrest and poverty amongst the English. The world no longer marvels at the Labyrinth and Ramanaya. The government frittered the gold and happiness on building a military power, and not on places of worship and trade in the cities. Revolution is in the air.

English people from the far lands we wish to extend our help in any way possible. We see you were truely a victim in the political scene that just took place.

We have now witnessed the true nature of the Brazilians. We do not wish war but have the ability to defend our lands should they decide to discrace and dishonor themselves further. We would extend our hands of friendship to the English at this time and the Brazilians. What assistance can we offer you? Maybe a first step would be a diplomatic exchange between us?

The journey will be full of peril as the Brazilians have discraced themselves by signing and alliance agreement then following the exchange of technologies sent a warning to their alliance friends that they would in fact attack their freinds? should they wander on to Brazilian soil, Is this the act of a freind? It would seem the Brazilians are acting in a reckless manor and playing dangerous politics. We wish peace with you yet after the warning we have received have doubts about your true intent.

If the English have made similar agreements with the Brazilians let this be the warning sign of their true intent. We now see the reality of your scurmish with them. We ask our American allies now for their input or the recent events. We ask the Americans to also offer support and aid to the English peoples as our freinds and allies.

Oops!!! I think I'm playing a different game, I'm alone at the north pole, without false diplomacy, broken alliances, war, gift's and exchanges...

Meanwhile I'm switching into Democracy, maybe more techs help me to find someone soon.

BTW all this time isolated from the unkonwn world maybe make us (the mayans) unfriendly to every one meanwhile al the unknown world is forming a super big alliance , but it doesn't mater this is a bloodlust game

The Times reports that the English Foreign Office is in a state of confusion. Unofficial Roman envoys have broadcast to the world that they wish to usher in a spirit of co-operation with the English, but official diplomatic sources advise that the Romans have a permanent alliance treaty with the Brazilians who so recently waged unprovoked war on the glorious English army, now held as martyrs by the population. The Times social correspondent believes that an exchange of maps and a visit by a Roman diplomat would allow the English to establish the extent of the Roman/Brazilian alliance, and help improve the trust between the nations.

It would appear for now the tides of war have slowed.
As the Americans, Brazilians and English can see my troops remain in their cities and not a threat to any nation never was.

I am glad to see we all have ample breeding grounds and can expand without the need to impose on our neighbors.

The english have a clear line for a border between them and the Brazilians.

We have accepted the exchange of maps in hopes also that peace can be the word for at least a few years to come.

We will be sending diplomats to all nations with party plans

This though would take the co-operation of the Brazilian government and we ask here in the international forum, for the right of passage for our diplomats through there lands?

Then the Brazilians should not start a war Turn 42 --> joao paulo

The English graciously accepts the Brazilian maps, and humbly requests that the Brazilians should permit foreign diplomats to pass through their lands unmolested and without charges for visas.

The Times reports that the nations of the world have been invited to the Olympic Games in London, following the construction of a new stadium. This boost to the English morale has improved their happiness and productivity. However, War discontent still remains.

To compensate for this discontent a reduction in "food tax" has been legislated, with the people now allowed larger rations. The Times social correspondent predicts that once the people have more places of worship and finance in their cities, the government will seek to recover the cost of these improvements by once again raising the food tax. Our correspondent claims that this necessary because giving people more food reduces the rate of population growth
