Better maps - any mods? Support Apolyton, buy Civilization 2

Greetings,

I'm an old Civ2 player who has been away for a while. While I was interested in C2P and C2P2, neither seems to have quite the intensity (and depth) of C2 (as I remember it). HOWEVER, the C2P games have a far better world generator. Their worlds seem to be "real", whereas C2 worlds were always stringy peninsular nightmares.

Has anyone built a utility to generate better worlds? If so, how can I download it.
