There is a Persian archer unit just west of Persepolis. There are at least 2 Apolytonian war chariots just north up the road in Wills... these two war chariots ARE within one turn's reach of the archer unit.
To make things even easier, we have 2 catapults right next to the archer unit which were used in the siege of Persepolis.
So, here's the idea:
Have the two catapults bombard the Persian archer. With any luck, it'll be knocked down to one hitpoint in order to make things even easier on us.
Then, have those two war chariots (one at a time, of course) come down toward the Persian archer and beat the snot out of it pretty darn easily...
THAT BEING SAID, HOWEVER...
The biggest question is WHETHER we want our Golden Age right now in the middle of the Persian War, w/o very many libraries in our empire, and under monarchy. It would seem that the wiser strategy (though risky, as we might forgo a golden age altogether if we're not careful) is to finish the Persian war first, then build some libraries around the empire and switch to republic.... if our assault on the Americans is as quick as Aggie and Shriber suggest it could be, it won't matter one bit that we're under republic. During this quick war, we could use the war chariots to get us our golden age.
NOW...
The question is which one is more feasible and appealing... Personally, I really would like to be under republic and have more libraries before our GA, but this turn may present a more sure-fire way of pulling it off with that Persian archer just sitting there asking to be attacked.
