Benefits of Republic Support Apolyton, buy Alpha Centauri

I made a draft report about the changes a future (10+ turns) shift to Republic would cause, but i post the brief summary of it-

- Extra commerce from the trade bonus(without accounting the reduction of corruption and the ) - 111g

- Maintenance- 60-70g (depending on the amount of captured workers from persia and america)

- Neccesary improvements to avoid disorder (besides Uber Isle cities, also accounting teh approximated citiesw growth) - market in: Here It Is, Gaia, Willsbury. Cathedral in Macross City

* we already agreed the the temporary stagnation in Uber Isle won't halt us switch to Republic, but should be cleared that untill we have astronomy and harbor on the Isle, there can't be much of a development there.

* note that this report doesn't include the changes in net production and commerce, so that the overall benefit will surely be greater.

So if someone has any information on the exact changes in waste and corruption, this would help stregthen this report.

I think it is evident enough that a change after the american annexation will boost our econmoy greatly, especially since we have so many river tiles, we prduce lots of commerce, which could greatly enjoy a change to Republic (or Democracy, for that matter).

Avatar Enlargement: We've got the solution

Waste and Corruption: That's easy. No change in the percentage losses in either one going back and forth between Monarchy and Republic in Civ III. (This in unlike Civ II). There is a reduction in corrpution / waste for Democracy though.

Athough there may be some minor apprent percentile difference in commerce corruption due to rounding.

Captured workers (Slaves) don't cost anything to support on any form of government.

Uber Island won't stagnate at all until cities get to size 3. This can be pushed slighty upwards by Temples and/or connecting the local luxary to all Uber Island.

The best time to give the order to have a revolution is after all worker orders, so they don't goof off a turn.

Note that the Market Places listed above will increase the advantages of Repubilc once built.

It seems we're ready to Annex America, and we need to take Hastings & York to "protect" Arabela. How about republic after our war with England? We may want to repatriate our native workers(and those of lost Civs) near the Capitol.

Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations

Yeah, whack England. Take 2-3 cities and it will set them back. They don't have any Knights and won't be able to put up a retalitory strike against us (but could get other civs to join in)

Suffering from ads?

All of England (except for a lone city surrounded by Aztecs) needs annexed for the future palace or forbidden palace combo leads in the poll.

I'd prefer having enough Knights to quickly annex all of England (except for city mentioned) rather than 2 / 3 cities now, and also after the "hidden" war wearriousness factor has gone down.

We then get England to hand over all techs, their WM, and all their money for peace.

Now, if England makes a mistake of placing troops in our territory, tell them to withdraw or declare war.
