It's not the be-all and end-all. It's great but not some life-altering event that you should feel like a god about (if you get any) or a loser if you don't.

You should be confident without the need of acceptance from the opposite sex; that is a sign of self-esteem problems.

Looking at it from the other side, if you have good self esteem you are also much more likely to get laid.

People are much more likely to find you attractive if you are confident and like yourself.

The course and the uni itself are OK, the city is better for shopping than Scunthorpe, but the halls are crap. It might help if everyone's overriding objective each night wasn't to go out clubbing (which I loathe with a vengance), but since it is I'm finding it tough to make new friends. But it's certainly not terrible.

Yes, it is a suburb. It is the fault of snobs like them in the 'adjoining areas' that Hull isn't classed as a larger city, because they won't have anything to do with us. They should be grateful, at least it's not Sheffield
