Locutus, I fail to see how a CtP 2 Demo game could affect us lowly CtPers. I mean, we can't exactly take part, eh?

Solver, looking in hindsight, I fail to see how it would overload the current events?

You dont need to own the game to take part in *some* discussions and voting. Some ACDG game regulars are signed up as lowly citizens for the CtP2DG.

I mainly posted that because I know many CtP1 players also own a copy of CtP2, even if it's stuffed away on a high shelf somewhere, collecting dust. (Well, perhaps not many, but at least some do: Solver, J Bytheway, Troll, faded glory, Maquiladora, Paul, Nuke Boy, Keygen, TheBirdMan, Swissy, phoenixcager, etc, etc (IIRC))

But also what Maquiladora said: you don't actually have to own the game to be able to play. As CtP1ers you guys would have an even better idea of what's going on in the game than the Alpha Centauri and Civ3 players who have already signed up. And since the president is the only one who actually plays the game, you can still participate as a citizen or judge or something if you can't or don't want to play CtP2 yourself.

(Plus, you can pick up CtP2 really cheap now if you want to, I've already heard of 2 people who are trying to do so now we're starting a CtP2 DG )
