**As a general note, I want to remind folks that the idea of this game is to be FAST. Several of you are cooperating, and that is appreciated. Let's keep this game moving. When possible please try to submit orders as you see the results, as opposed to taking the entire deadline. **

Interesting situation on the Korean peninsula this turn where we see an example of one of the more complex rules concerning cutting supports. Russia's attack from Seoul on Yellow Sea while supported from Port Arthur does not cut the Japanese support from Yellow Sea for Pusan's attack on Seoul, because it does not dislodge the Japanese fleet, which was supported from Kyoto (2v2). In short a territory may not cut the support of attack against itself (unless it succeeds in dislodging the supporting unit). If the Russian attack had come from Port Arthur, then support would have been cut, and both attacks would have bounced (Port Arthur - Yellow Sea 1v2, and Pusan - Seoul 1v1).

There are no Summer 1871 retreat orders necessary. Fall 1871 orders will be due Tuesday October 17 at 23:59 pm EST.
