	East-West Map Boundaries Put an end to popups!

Can anyone help me figure out how to make a "flat" map where neither the sides nor the top and bottom connect? I am attempting to use the Scandinavian map from Civ II (using the new map converter!), but I can only create "Earth Worlds" where the east-west directions are continuous. This doesn't make sense to me for this map because Russia becomes an ocean!

You only have one option to do this. Edit the userprofile.txt file in the ...\ctp_program\ctp directory. Change both XWrap & YWrap to 'No'.

Having said that I must warn you that this option is a bit buggy with unpredictable results. Also, it only works when you create a new map in CTP.

Activision has recommended not doing this and I must agree with them. This part of the code has not been fully implemented yet.

I have spent weeks learning, creating & testing all aspects associated with map creation and I gave up on using this option.

Thanks for your quick response. I was looking through the Map, Const, and DiffDB text files trying to find an answer over the past few days. I remember looking at UserProfile, but I obviously passed over the XWrap and YWrap lines!

It's good to know that I don't have to spend weeks just to come to the same conclusion as you have - thanks! I like this place already....
