Request for the Director of Base Production : PROBES!!

Support Apolyton, buy Civilization: The Boardgame

Now that we can build probe teams AND discovered another faction, the Morganites, i'd like to have a probe team build ASAP to infiltrate them.
This is vital to our security, and allows us the plan our future course of actions against the Morganites more carefully.

What are the chances that this will adversely affect our relations with them? If we become Pact Brothers with them anyway, we will not need a Probe team (at least for a while).

pretty slim, i've never had problems infiltrating other factions.

Is that already decided? If so, can we do it without switching to FM, because if we switch to FM, we will definitely need probes if we want to continue exploring.

So long as we only infiltrate, and don't attack any of their Probe Teams, there'll be no problems. We shouldn't try to do anything more unless we can do it with no chance of being discovered (Occasional untraceable bribing of military forces for instance).

We can attck probe teams of a pact mate, he wont mind. Remember, probe teams are not supposed to exist, so Morgan would deny the existence of a probe we destroyed.

It pisses them off if it happens within their own territory. I'll not have you attack a base that has a Probe Team because you think you can get away with it. If they get caught also, (Including just sent home)they get even more pissed.

Actually, the game will simply stack probes and units with the probes of a pactmate. They cannot be attacked.

A treaty partner's probes, on the other hand, are a different story.

Unless you try an action at a base where one is in residence of course.
