You missed Gotham, Port Of Malignance, Contaginon, Muncie, Bacteria, Boomtown, and Shiberport.

They don't necessarily NEED to be changed but they are eligible for renaming as they were not an official minister's city choice.

We need to find out what ministers have not ever named a city, and whether a minister gets to name a city for each office/ term of office they hold.

Of the ones eligible to be renamed Whelsh Coast is the only one that went through being proposed in a thread and receiving support from more than 3 citizens. (That was one of the conditions I was trying to set where a city name had to have at least three supporters before it cold be used)

We don't have ANY official ones. The CoL has nothing about city names. GodKing started naming them and no one cared so that's where most of the names came from. I proposed that each minister be allowed to name one per term and that the minister suggestion be approved in a poll by the people but no one really cared and then I proposed that we take suggestions and any city name that had the support of three people be put up for a vote but the only suggestion that met the qualifications was Whelsh Coast.

ANYBODY can rename ALL of the cities and not be in violation of the CoL.

The only thing that got OVERWHELMING support was that NO ONE should ever name them in the turnchats. The name assigned from the Egyptian List was to stand until a Minister chose a cityname as their choice or we voted on it.

He does alot of work to organize the build and PW suggestions for whatever Province he is RA to then forwards those suggestions to the minister of CP, who subsequentialy ignores them and never gives a good reason to do so.

	Avatar Enlargement: We've got the solution

We currently have 40 cities building stuff like billy-o. The RAs try to pick up a bit of the load by reviewing:

build queues
workforce allocation
happiness
defence
public works

and making suggestions to the City Planner, MoPW etc. for a particular province. I do just 5 cities.

For me, this means downloading the latest save, spending about an hour looking at all the options and writing out detailed orders for each city for each turn, if necessary. Then swapping a few PMs with the above dignitaries to let them know my ideas.

Donegeal also runs a thread for his region, for idea, which is a good idea, as well as having redefined the provinces recently.

Its not a glorious role, but it is appreciated! And who knows, they might let you name a city if you do a good job!

Our Glorious empire is divided into Provinces (or regions or States, whatever you want to call them). A RA job is to govern one of these regions. Well not so much govern, but supervise. The RA will look closely at the cities in his province, and make suggestions to the MoCP about what he thinks should go on in those cities. He can suggest builds, "Q's", Work Force Allocations, PW issues and defensive measures. Under the current CoL, a RA really only has as much power as the CP is willing to give; meaning that all that the RA can do is make suggestions to the CP who is not required to follow them. Under the NewCon, I have made a proposition to change this and eliminate even the position of Deputy of CP under the Domestic Minister. I hope not the RA will grow to much local power as to
overule the senate's specific decisions in certain areas,
since they represent all countymen's votes.

If the senate decide by votation to build up culture in
a certain region, what happens then?

In the way I described the functioning of RA's and the DM in the NewCon, a vote to build culture in a certian area by the Senate, would make the DM (or a proactive RA) order the RA to build blah amount of culture in blah number of turns. If the RA of that region failed to comply with the wishes of the Senate, then it would be the DM job to impose some type of punishment to that RA. ie: limiting his powers by taking away PW rights or the DM taking over the "Q". All the way up to removing the RA from office. After all, RA's serve under the DM.

No nothing from E_T, although I haven't asked him. Fergus recently pm'd me and explained a few matters, and thus I am very interested in 'governing' a region at this juncture....

Sorry I did not get back to you sooner, I was moving house this weekend.

I think you're choice looks like a good one - interesting stuff happening in the region, but not too much of a production centre to be controlled by military or wonder requirements, so you get to have some say in what gets built, plus culture issues etc.

I was thinking about going for Mingapulco because it's the production center of the empire and a powerhouse compared to the rest......but then I figured that until I'm more experienced with city planning (in regards to the way this game operates) then I should try for an area that is probably not sought after right now, an area that can use some work but won't cause too much problems. SO I think the Persian Highland (or) Lowlands is best for me.

After all, I can always relocate the Shadow Service HQ.

Perhaps you could have RA-ship of the Mingapulco region, anyway?

Oh I understand. I don't want Mingapulco now anyways, it would not be in my best interests, since I couldn't foresee Unorthodox leaving and myself and adaMada taking the helm of the Jungle gazette...
I'd still be interested in a RA job in Persia Minor or Major however, though I understand this is an appointed position (which really holds no power other than 'suggestion')....
