	PTW Democracy game signup Support Apolyton, buy Call to Power 2

Some posters from a group (mainly Civ3 DemoGame Citizens) that wants to start up a PTW Democracy game asked me to be a kind of spokesperson to ask the mods for a forum. Recently I got a reply from MarkG - he wants a sign-up thread. If there is enough interest, then a forum we may have, and things like members-only areas could possibly be handled the same way as in the rather extinct Civ2 Multi-Site game forum (although no-one there has been ANY help in telling me how this is done ).

So here it is - a sign-up thread. Sign up if you're interested, and I'll update this first post whenever I can. I will also let MarkG know about the thread, so that one day, you will wake up and there may well be a forum!

Obviously, I'm in. I have a list of people that have already told me they want in. Do you want me to post the list or PM it?

Right away, I bring up security. Since this forum is open to all (as evidenced by the numourous "Embassies" here), it quite possible that a spy could get planted in our midst already. This list will be good to give estimated numbers, but should not determine the actual members list.

Count me out for now. I won't be getting PTW until it's had 2-3 patches behind it. I was 'burnt' with CivII, having to pay to be a Beta Tester, I won't do that again.

I'll think about it again in about 6 months or so......

E_T,

PtW is in essence the final patch for Civ3. If another expansion comes out, I doubt there will be any real game issues addressed, just more options being added such as scenarios.

Considering the other names on this thread, I guess you'd better count me in (though I probably won't buy PTW for a few months after it comes out, I plan to participate in other ways...)

(I wonder if PTW-saves will be compatable with Civ3? I doubt it, but it'd be really useful if they were...)
