Now that the war with France has started (and we have already taken 3 of the 4 initial objective cities) it is time to start an "Official War Objective Poll". As I am not part of the "official" SMC, I will let Aggie start this poll.

and this reason AND for the fact that we have almost reached our initial objectives without having a Great Leader come among us.

THe GA has increased production and our Income by a surprising amount. THe additional Waste has not noticably effected the Time of Completion for the FP. It might still slip back a turn of two with the addition of last remaining cities, but it will still be completed before the GA has expired.

Rome has completed JSB, Moscow is only (guesstamite) of 3-4 turns until they have completed STC. If Germany has Aquired Theory of Gravity by then, they will get NU in Hamburg and the Race for MV is still in question. If we can still cut Kathren off at her proverbial knees if a GL comes at the right time.

Because of all of these things, I hearby change my mind and would like the war to go to it's ultamite conclusion of the elimination of France.

I like E_T's reasoning, with one caveat: we need to be able to keep war weariness under control. If the war bogs down and happiness levels start to erode to the point that our cities slide out of WLTK status ... and if (for whatever reason) we cannot compensate with the slider ... then I'd prefer breaking off the war to undercutting the impact of our golden age.
Not a likely scenario (with all of our luxuries, and our turbo-Sistine-cathedrals), granted. But worth mentioning.
