Because of the shape of the compass it seems to look better in the middle of the flag, but the smaller i make the lemur the more it looks like a dinosaur.

I go with Maq's basic three color flag with the red backgrount the yellow compass and the black lemur. Actuak the problem with the Austrian based flag is that it has to much white in it not too much reed.

I tried that particular combination myself. I dunno, i thought the outsides around the edge looked abit bare, and we dont want a square flag, looks good though.

Good flags

Lemurs only live in Madagascar and are an endangered species.
There are many different kinds and many have already gone extinct due to humans. Mainly cutting down the rain forests they live in

Just thought id share my knowledge shame though

I really like the dark red/yellow color scheme, but the Apolyton/box colors are very applicable...

The last one is quite nice. Gotta love the red, white, and blue I like SMIFFGIG's version as well. Having everything centered and the lemur slightly eclipsing the compass is quite asthetically pleasing
