Seems that this is standard procedure for their Loss and Prevention Department. I was told it could take 1 to 3 business days to get that approved.

That's must be what's happening to me. I had different shipping and billing addresses. Its been on hold for two days now. Hope it makes it out very soon.

12:35 PM EST - GameStop in Audubon, PA had their PtW units unpacked, but not on the shelves yet. I apparantly bought the first one at that location. Had to haul ass back to work, was only able to read a few pages of the manual. Looks promising, can't wait to get off work.

since we don't have a EB store in Québec City ( and EB seems to have the fastest service for street date releases in Canada ), then I must rely at my local Future Shop and they estimate to receive PTW tomorrow, thursday. Not bad considering distance and transport delay. I'll get it after my work.

yeah, perks of living in manhattan i suppose, but eb had it when i just went. gonna install it now. looks pretty good, small booklet inside telling u what's new and the new commands.

Was I the only one surprised at the size of the box? I guess it makes sense, but I was expecting a full sized box. Already I will say that the manual should be more specific, at least the part that I read should be.

Europeans will get to play the the 2nd patch by then. It's up to us North Americans to beta test the product until it meets European standards.

I just got the game at the Game Stop in the Galleria At Tyler in Riverside, CA, for those in the Inland Empire. The cost was $29.99. I just installed it and now getting the patch before I play for the first time. I also contacted EB at the Ontario Mills Mall and they got the game on Monday, but they are currently out. Just a heads up. Hope everybody gets its soon.

Charlotte, NC: PtW is MIA.... At Gamestop (Babbages), the poor guy was all alone with, like, 50 boxes of stuff stacked up. Said none of the invoices included PtW, tho. Prob'ly 50 boxes of Vice City ..... At Wallyworld, the clueless girl tried to tell me that Game of Year edition was what I was looking for, 'til I pointed out the empty slot where PtW was supposed to be. Yes, they had the price sticker out, without having the game yet Hate it when they put non-gadget, non-techy people in the Electronics dept.!!! Oh, well, gonna go beat up the Greeks now. I'll join y'all soon as I can...

I didn't expect it to be out til Friday, so I didn't go around town hunting for it. I called the local Software Etc. (or babbages, whatever you want to call it) after reading posts here that people were already getting it and the guy said they had it today but were all sold out! Geeze, I didn't think PTW was going to be that big.

Also, at Best Buy after explaining to them what Civ3 was, they told me they weren't going to get it til Nov 8th! Best Buy used to be a good place to get computer games, but not anymore!
