As it is quite impossible to post a poll where to place our bases exactly because of too many possible variations, I would like the citizens to propose base locations. The option with the most followers will win. In other words, voting is done by simple hand-raising, not organizing a secret referendum.

Please state your proposal by posting a jpg-picture, or telling the location of the proposed base by referring to special terrain features like bonus squares.

In the following four posts, I will state the default proposal in case there is too little response.

Northern territory. One pod is already sent to the location chosen by MrWhereItsAt, so the second CP in the neighbourhood needs to be sent elsewhere. Since we have limited knowledge of that region, my temporary order would be "send it to the north of Pandemonium and see what we get".

Western territory. That location SW of the nutrients is again taken from MWIA's proposal. The new pod from Zanarkand Gate we could send a bit south of that location (please specify the exact one - should we build it as proposed and include those bonus squares in a more southern base or include the boni right away?) or send it along the Freshwater Sea to complete our ring around the sea. Your call. I also drew a roadnetwork proposal.

Good locations or move them a bit? First complete the Ring of the Sea, or send the pods to the other proposed locations? (See Western and Eastern territory)

This is illegal and anti-democratic. I agree that polling for every location is really hard, and I know what I'm talking about. Anyway, voting by hand raising means that the votes of those who speak loud would mean more than the votes of those who keep quiet.
I seriously advice Maniac to find another way to deal with Colonization.

i agree with pande here lurkers wont be heard this way.....maybe submit a plan of colonization that we can poll on.....first draft..poll...second draft...poll...final draft...poll

I agree, a poll seems to be the fairest way. Can i suggest as an option sending a pod to the south-east to colonize the area before Morgan does? Was thinking the square to the northeast of the one Maniac suggested in Eastern territory (28, 104 if i recall)

Just an idea, but how about Maniac takes about 4 or 5 suggestions and puts a poll on whether to accept one or find another?

Am I not using your system?? I based this thread on your previous colonization threads. You also asked people to give their preferred locations, and then you added up the posted results to see what tile got most 'hands raised'.

You also added a poll like "Should we explore N/E/S/W?" with those threads, but the answer was most of the time quite obvious based on the base where the CP was completed, and the poll hadn't much use, only the hand raising did.

But anyways, people, please suggest some possible base locations and then I'll post a poll with the different options. I of course could make up some locations myself, but then the neutrality and democraticness of the choices isn't guaranteed due to overseeing possibilities which are obvious to someone else.

I agree with Drogue that we should establish some advantageous border with CEO Morgan, claiming as much of the territory as possible.
