Come on, Stuie! It's early in the game's time as available, and people haven't begun to play regulare yet. IMHO, you must accept that it'll be like that in the beginning!

I preordered it at Software ETC last week. They told me it was due in today. I picked it up after school... along with my copy of GTA3: Vice City. AHHH! The choices.

Yes I was a bit confused about the release date as well... On this website, it says that there's a Release Party or something being held on the 1st November (which is today over here in Australia...) although on the official website, they haven't updated anything for about 2 months and don't even mention the release date! So if the game is already out, what is the release date that is mentioned on Apolyton's website? The global release date or something?

a release party isnt necessarily associated with the release date

of course it started this way(firaxis announced going gold and releasing on nov.1) but later it seems things(shipment, etc) went faster and copies have been availiable since the 30th....

civ3.com is maintained by infogrames and they can be slow in updates.

Choice! Thanks Mark G. That clarifies things a bit... I went to Electronics Boutique in the city today and they said it wouldn't be here until the 23rd of November ("if we're lucky"!) - man things take a loooOooOng time to arrive here in Australia...
