I have created a new scenario, with a nice big map and 12 civs scattered across the planet. It all works quite nicely, however if I go any other civ than the Romans (the default civ when I created the game) I discover new tech every turn for about 6 turns, plus I start off with 500 PW and about 8000 gold. Does anyone have any solutions to this problem??

Hi, that sounds weird. Did you change alter any files after you created the scenario??? Sometimes that screws stuff up if you did because when you create a scenario it's suppose to read all the files in but if something is changed altered afterward you might run into problems playing the scenario. So if that is the case create another scenario file and try it again.

Thanks, but I didn't change anything that I can remember. The only thing I can possibly think of is that when I first launched the scenario I had the difficulty on Deity? I treid re-creating the scenario on Warlord level and this seemed to sort things out. I can now select other tribes than the Romans (default) and they seem to work ok.
Hope this is of some help to anyone else that suffers similar problems!
