	What do you rate PTW Support Apolyton, buy Alpha Centauri

What do you rate PTW as a whole? Do you think its worth the money? I have a mac so im not even sure it is going to come out for it.

I like a lot of aspects of it, but they really need to fix the multiplayer. I gave it an 8, but it could easily be a 10 if multiplayer gets fixed.

Would be nice, to include a Banana option, so us, who haven't been able to get the game yet, still can see the ratings (Without having to press the "see votes" button everytime, I want to see the votes...

considering that MP was pretty much the biggest feature most people were looking forward to (isn't that why it's called Play they World? I don't think it's because you can play as 8 more civs then you could before) I say it's failed to for the most part, I can't imagin who thought that game was a 9 or a 10, that should be for games that work perfectly with virtually no errors to any mode of play, so I wonder if those people even played the game.

SP has it's own problems as well if I were mearly rating SP I'd probably rate it a 7 (maybe an 8 or 9 once those problems are fixed) but overall (since MP only works over lan for me) I can't even think of giving it anything near that. Also you can't rate it based on what it will be patched to as we can't see the future. Anyway I'm glad I didn't buy it yet (played with friends who have it, I DIDN'T STEAL\ WAREZ IT).

You've touched on a valid point Cidifer concerning the warez version that are most likely rampant in the internet gaming community. I believe most of the problems that people are having to deal with while trying to play MP internet play boils down to compatability issues between the pirated and legal version of the game. When you're in the game room looking for players, you really don't know if they have a legal or pirated version of the game...IMO this would explain alot of the MP problems. I might be wrong, but it's just the feeling I have. The only way that I can think of to try and allieviate this problem is to know who you're playing with - I know, NOT an easy task!

Besides, LAN play for me is working just fine (a slight lag, but manageable)...and I consider LAN play Multiplayer in my book...even if Internet Multiplayer is currently having some "growing pains."

if you haven't noticed problems with certain new units\civs then either your lucky or you haven't gotten all the way through a couple games to more modern things.

I gave it a 7, mostly because of slow internet play. I am one of the lucky one's who is able to host or join most games.

As of right now 1 is in the lead. As a side note I voted with 4 but I haven't actually played the game yet so my vote should be discarded.

Gave it a 9, SP is great but MP needs a bit of patching, once it gets patched it'll get a 10. What problems did you notice in SP Cidifer? I haven't found any myself. I was happily overruning the Americans with my Numidian Mercenarys earlier.

I bought it for the MP, and that simply does not work.

I see all the other features (8 new civs, additional buttons, ect...) as icing on the cake.

Too bad the cake fell in the oven.

8, has potential for 10.

I think that changing Civ 3 which is inherently sequential single player to multiplayer (PTW), will have big issues with synchronisation.

I'd like some specifics. I've played loads of games through to the modern age and I'd like to know what these errors are so that they can get fixed.

SP = 10

MP = 5 I can get into games, takes time to find one to work and Laggy

Give MP a 10 when they fix it

when a company says "hey this is a multiplayer expansion with some new cool singleplayer features" and the multiplayer does´nt work very well for most people then a game can´t get more than a 1... they should not have an oppurtunity to "fix" things it should have been done...I don´t want a million patches I want my game!

I gave it a 7 only because I like the SP additions, but MP in its current state is unplayable. They should patch it quickly.

Why, they even included an option to turn culture flipping off. Who was it again, who demanded this about a thousand times? SP is near to perfect now (well, in Civ3 terms that is). MP needs some serious tweaks.

It is unbelievable , creating a multiplayer expansion which has everything except multiplayer.

yeah , the mp part is glitchy at besst,,, for sp mode, this expansion set should have been included in the first release

but i hope future patches will help it out
