lets keep planned for a while still, we havent explored the whole conitent yet, and there is still a huge amount of area to colononize, we should switch to FM once all our bases on the ocnitnet are well established and perferebllay have taken advantge from the pop boom.

Planned. We should wait with FM a while, til we set up the borders our empire. Remember also that the power of FM relies heavily on the quantity of our workers (1 worker=1 additional energy point), so let's continue our neat population growth at the moment.

How exactly do you intend to keep the local citizens under control? We don't yet have even the most rudimentary Drone control facilities, so trying to control size 16 bases would be a nightmare.

Our research is pretty slow now, getting us a new discovery only every 20 turns or so - it will be quite some time before FM is an effective option (post-energy restriction lifting). In the meantime, our current Planned model enables us to grow our bases significantly (in size and infrastructure). Keep it up - eventually we might benefit hugely from a switch to FM but not right now . . .
