How do you connect on our irc server? (Time out:0 days after 03-11-2002, 12:56)
I use mirc or another irc client
I use the javachat and it works fine all the time
I use the javachat and it sometimes has problems
I cant use either mirc or javachat

I prefer to use mIRC to access it.

The javachat does work for me - I just don't use it.

Java works fine for me. Had to download an applet but it didn't look too threatening.

Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

I use mIRC or Trillian as the Java chat client doesn't work with Sun's Java 2 JRE 1.4.1 and Mozilla 1.2 Beta. Anyway, using an IRC client software is anyway better and faster.

I have no problems to connect with ircII.

Tried first "irc.apolyton.net", as would be the expected name of an IRC server, but it didn't resolve. Using plain "apolyton.net" worked.

Incorrect for a display when no one is supposed to be in the room, or are "apolyton, :end, of, /NAMES, list." supposed to be default for an empty room?

It was working for me (java) until just yesterday. I logged in, said hi to Solver, logged out thinking "hey, Trillian has an IRC ability, I'll just use that."

Tried it... didn't work.

Went back to java and it kicked me out, then I tried downloading mIRC and it constantly wouldn't connect either.

What ever happened to the java chat room where we actually got to use emoticons?

FF, the previous room was taking up too much server space, IIRC, so they changed to their own IRC server. I had the same troubles as you when attempting to access mIRC for the first time, but now it's sweet
