Minerals right now. We need those booms. THe quicker the better, in fact.

But what's wrong with harvesting nuts? The whole point is to create dedicated areals where any single resource can be harvested without great loss of the other.

Well, I tend to grow lots of forests, which give all the nutrients Ive ever needed. However, if Maninac builds lots of boreholes in the base production area, then I would suggest using crawlers for nuts. Also, if for some reason we lose crawlers in war, it is better to lose some minerals and energy over nuts, as people could starve without those resources. I see cralwer resourcesas a nice bonus, but not a nessity, thats always been my philosphy.

I agree with dmm. Forests are the way to go (for production and Eco reasons) Using crawlers as an addition I find its best to use them mostly for building a base with massive stocks of energy to house the Supercolider etc al. Mineral powerhouses tend to lead to eco damage IMHO.
