What is the Princess for ? Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations

Everytime I try to get more information on the Princess short game mode it just talks about the 3 OTHER short games without any mention of how the princess affects the game. When shes captured do I lose? Why does she not move when in the pedia it says she has 1 movement? Now that Ive created my city 1 square away from my starting location she is stuck just outside my city.... wtf?

Got spare money?

she's the flag unit in capture the flag

she is immobile until someone captures her, then she can move one space at a time.

not sure how it ends, if someone has to have control of all princesses or if it is timer based victory.

The doc says that you capture her and take her back to the capitol and that give 10,000 pts. It is then returned to the original owners capitol, if it that civs is gone, you get another 10k. It does not say how the game ends.

yeah, for now the princess mode and points locations mode are quite unexplained on how/when a victor is declared - especially if most of the conventional victory modes are enabled. Please someone who knows care to explain???

Tired of ads?

I tried to play a Capture the Princess game, but nothing seemed to happen when I captured a princess, even when I destroyed another civilization and took the princess to my capital as the book said to do. I kept expecting an announcement congratulating me for capturing the princess and telling me how many points I got I also thought it was supposed to be a "short game", but what's the point of it if I have to go through the whole long long game to get my points that the end

perhaps Firaxis's answer would be: it's yours to discover.....at least it should be smart from someone at Firaxis to tell us the points system and the conditions required to win through the new modes...

Do you mean you haven't complete manual available, or "capture the princess" is only another "half done" game ending?

Something strange is happening if Firaxis really did the same "mistake" twice in a row...

Please tell me my fears aren't fonded
