If you have to choose one religion that will follow what the Bible says literally, no matter how silly, hurtful, or odd the result, you have to choose the Jehovah's Witnesses. They take the idea of being a fool for God to its extremes.
Violence is an effective method of accomplishing certain types of goals in a wide variety of frameworks I may deplore those goals, but I can't deny the effectiveness of the method in achieving them.
Training in an abstracted field (Philosophy, Math, Literature) as an undergraduate will serve you better in your career in the long run than training in a more concrete and specialized discipline (Marketing, Computer Science, Pre-Med).
It is not possible to give an accurate model of the possible truth-values for reality with anything smaller than [0,1]^4.

Many countries (incl. US, Australia and Japan) should do like Euro countries and tell clearly the horrors they have indulged in the past, rather than boasting on how great they were 100% of the time.
Big Business should belong to a worldwide political organization, with the well-being of the people in mind.
Economical lobbying should be punished by law, as it is corruption through other means.
The US is probably the least antipathic Superpower the world has and will ever know. Future superpowers will bother far less with giving concessions to the peoples they exploit (like token democracies and rights, small part of the wealth remaining in the plundered country).
There is no such thing as war on terror. Just a group of indirectly linked wars, put in the same bag so that people agree to the whole stupidity.
An American life is worth a European or a Zimbabwean life. No more, no less.
Monotheistic religions should burn a good part of the Bibles, for they are legitimations of some ancient political order. This would make the Holy books much more respectable and atune to the ideals of a state-separated religion.
I often say the fatalities in the WTC were colateral damage in the holy war against decadence. I don't think it, but I hope it helps understand how cynical a concept "colateral damage" is.

I've understood that "citizen of the world" can be a stupid concept when defined carelessly, now that I live abroad.
