What is the planetary pack? I have looked all over the firaxis and alphacentauri site and can find no mention of it yet supposedly it is coming out in just under two weeks. Anyone heard any word on what is going to be included? Seen any reviews or previews of this on gaming sites? Has it been cancelled or delayed in favor of working on Civ3?

Um. Looking at the apolyton.net/smac/ page right now and dont see any mention of the Planetary Pack (not alien crossfire) on it. Didn't see anything about it on the main news page either. Could you put me in a more specific direction than that please. Maybe I'm just blind, but don't see any mention of it.

ah, sorry, the news item is so old, it's in the archives...
PLANETARY PACK=GOLD
(27 January 2000, 14:34 EST/SMAC) On the 21st we had posted about something we found on EBWorld, called "Alpha Centauri Planetary Pack". At the time we had no other information about it, but today Firaxis' Lindsay Riehl confirmed to us that it is actually what Jeff Morris had referred to as "SMAC Gold"(see news item on the 24th). According to Lidsay a retail price is not set yet, but the pack is expected to be available sometime in spring.
IT`S CALLED THE WHAT?
(21 January 2000, 22:20 EST/SMAC) Upon going to the Strategy section of EBWorld, one discovers a listing for a description-less "Alpha Centauri Planetary Pack", available for pre-order at a pricetag of $37.99US.
The only other information available at the present time, save its manufacturer being listed as Electronic Arts, is that it is "coming on 3/15/00".
More details to follow as it becomes available.
